Sounds like he knows what he's doing. Can't wait.
Comics were happier before the Internet turned writing superhero stories into fruitless attempts to impress/entertain a small group of ppl who appear to hate comics and their creators.

He sounds like a man with some creative ideas. I'm sold.

There's a preview for the first Snyder / Jock Tec issue in one of the issues I bought this week, I think Brightest Day. It was quite good.

The first page is a little awkward, Snyder tries way too hard to push the "Gotham metaphors" in the narration and introduction. Once the story gets moving it's really good. He writes Dick and Gordon very well and it clearly feels like Dick and not Bruce. It also clearly takes place in the Inc status quo and is clearly a solo Batman book focused on street level Detective work. I think the book will fit into its niche very well and it's honestly needed given how far out the Bat-line has gotten lately. Jock's art is of course superb.

I had decided to trade-wait this run, but after the preview in this weeks books and watching this interview, I'll be picking Detective up and Finch's Dark Knight is gonna get the trade treatment.

Actually makes more sense when you consider the inevitable delays that book will have...

Sounds good. And with Jock and Francavilla on art you know it will look good. American Vampire didn't really grab me but I am excited to see what Snyder does here.

Yeah I started out not that excited for the story, but after reading and listening to his interviews I am PUMPED for his run to start.
