Congrats to Kirkman and everyone involved with The Walking Dead. Hopefully this gives Kirkman more recognition

One of the things that makes the show and the book great is that it isn't a story about zombies. It's a story about people trying to survive. Sure there are zombies but the story isn't about them.

Yeah while Rick is the main star it does a good job in making the other survivors interesting in their own way

I might actually say its more about how horrible humans can be to other humans, in comparison to the zombies.

Which is why I got so interested in the comic book in the first place. I'm not what you'd call a zombie - or a horror - fan.

Congratulations to Frank Darabont, Gale Anne Hurd, Charles H. Eglee and Robert Kirkman.

And I don't know why, but as soon as I came across the Governor, I thought of Danny Trejo.

Awesome, last night's episode was better than the 2nds imo. I hope this will push more creators to try independent publishing; Kirkman would be proud.

it will continue to do well so long as the studio butts out and let them do their thing. in the past, decent tv shows have been run into the ground by idiotic tv executives who have misguided ideas on how to improve the show. Just leave it to those who know best. We dont want any gungans or 15 mile spaceships hovering over the city and lara croft appearing to save them all from a mutated tyranosaurous.

and agreed its all about the survivors and people who have their humanity stripped away.

A cool line said by the guy who plays dale who also starred in the film the myst (another darabont creation with half the cast from WD)

"sure they are all human beings now, but you turn out the lights and cut the power, you see just how primitive they get."

The reason i never liked zombie movies is because random zombie eating people never was interesting or thrilling to me.

TWD became huge fav because of the characters that you cared about and the feelings you felt when you lost them to humans or zombies. Thats why its my fav zombie story, its not about them ;)
    Pull List:
    The Walking Dead,Fatale,Near Death,Storm Dogs,Happy,BPRD,XO-Manowar
    American Vampire,Animal Man,Swamp Thing
    Daredevil, Winter Soldier,Indestructible Hulk

The zombies are the catalyst for the human drama. Nobody has been killed by a zombie, and we're three episodes in.

Do you think they have the guts to flow what kirkman has done in the book?

    Spoiler:
    spoilers:
]Like killing Carl killing Shane, and the big shoot out at the prison where Lori and the baby die and other major plot points.
    end of spoilers

How could it cause plotholes and inconsistencies if they deviate from the books and go their own way?

Spoilers for anyone who hasnt read the comics
    spoilers:
so if lori doesnt die and the baby stays alive then the later story where rick is on his own with carl and now an emotional wreak, how would that work if he is still with his family? Loris death was a very important part of the main story and keeping her alive would rewrite soo much that it just wouldn't be able to stay on track with the comic
    end of spoilers
