With respect to the CHAOS WAR gang, having the X-Men part of this makes this and X-NECROSHA seem.......so redundantally confusing to me.
I will read this because of Louise Simonson, her X-Factor Forever series made me love comics again.
I wasn't going to pick this up initially...but I think I may have been swayed, mostly due to the confirmation of Moira and Destiny appearing.
Moira's yellow catsuit is pure sexxx.
Banshee and Moira looking all loving. Nice.

It sounds like the X-Men tie-ins will deal with the Manidoog, the Native American pantheon of gods . . .
Does she mean Manitou? He once summoned Thunderbirds to battle Ghost Rider. The Native American nature deity, the ThunderBird, influences the uniting of the dead X-Men and the discovery of a prophecy that hints at the only way the Chaos King might be defeated - but only if everyone involved in the battle does their part. The failure of one will mean the failure of all.
Sounds to me like Iktomi, the trickster god. They'll confront one of his lieutenants - the trickster god, Raven, who has gone over to Chaos. The direct interactions with the Chaos King himself seem to be reserved for gods and demi-gods.
In rallying the nature spirits of the Earth - and, most of all, in awakening the sleeping One Who Dwells Above All himself - the actions of the dead X-Men influence the outcome of the war against Chaos as much as the actions of the gods themselves
It'd be cool if they included the Green Knight as one of Earth's nature spirits . . .
I really hope I see thoes two writters put on some more X-men books in the Future
Louies Simonson was great on X-Factor in the 80's
wouldn't had been this Dead Avengers / Dead X-Men thing, i wouldn't had pay any attention at all to the Chaos War...
i hope at last Earth 'heroes will know by one way or another that their dead friends saved them...
and it's glad to see Louise Simonson back, i just loved her original X-Factor run ( i'd just love to see her and her husband back onto a title - yes NOVA - just like during these dreamed past and golden years ) and most of the cross-overs she talked about, when Chris Claremont was really at his best...
If they'd thrown in Cable and/or Nightcrawler I'd be definitly getting this (my two favourite X-men killed off in one crossover... what are the odds) but they'd probably overpower the Banshee and Thunderbird focus that this seems to be going for.
I would get this but I'm trying to controll the (expensive) mini-series side of my pull-list at the moment I think I'm going to settle with God Squad and Dead Avengers, which is a shame as this one sounds quite interesting.
Current Ongoing Pull List
X-Factor . New Avengers . Daredevil . Demon Knights . Journey into Mystery
Moira? Irene? Louise? Christopher? Esme?
I am SO there!
