SO getting this !
I'd love to hear what DC characters are going to be in this game.

Can't wait to see MORE screen shots of computer screens and couches!
"Nearly ready for launch!" WOW
...
If this game does not come with an review from god to say how good it is it's going to become a gaming in joke to rival Duke Nukem Forever.
I'm inclined to agree with you, but at least it's actually in beta now. It's definitely not vapor-ware anymore, although I do find the lack of details this relatively close to launch somewhat concerning.
Even though I'm still really looking forward to it, my purchasing it will probably have a lot to do with how I feel about the beta's gameplay the week or so before the official launch. I was really looking forward to Final Fantasy XIV, too, but after playing the open beta for that game I instantly canceled my pre-order, and am I ever glad I made that move.
Here's hoping DC Universe Online manages to live up to my lofty expectations for it.

Don't want to sound on a downer but not much will knock WoW of it's top spot even this and delays never, ever help a product.
All this fuss, I HOPE it works, I just don't think it will.
I really think only Star Wars: The Old Republic has an honest chance at competing with World of Warcraft at this point, and even that's doubtful in my mind.
I don't care much how DC Universe Online does in relation to WoW, though, just so long as it's lucrative to stick around for a good long while and there's a big enough player-base for me to interact with. And of course, in order for those two things to happen, I think the game being a lot of fun to play is the obvious key, otherwise I'll be a part of the crowd that give this one a pass.

Quite frankly, I'm amazed we haven't seen one from Marvel yet.
Yes I'm a fan, and don't game like I used to, but will def get this.
Wow is the standard by which all others are measured, but I'll bet this game does pretty well.
im still tryna figure out if superman's screaming "batman" or callin lex a "madman" lmao

Lack of details? We've been told quite a bit, assuming the current information doesn't change by launch.
On the other hand, we don't even know when it's going to be launched. All we know now is early 2011. I guess that's plenty of time to see an indepth expose on the lunch habits of the developers.
Yeah, I don't care how this game compares to other MMOs. As long as Sony is happy enough with it to keep pouring money into it and it's fun to play I'll be good to go.
I for one am very excited to play this. I have pre-ordered and hope to be in beta by the 30th. Between the info on the main game website, sites like dcuosource.com, and the deluge of info recently, there is quite a bit of information on this game. There's even leaked beta gameplay footage (about an hour's worth) on youtube. Everything I have seen has just made me more excited.
