Same writers as regular duties. Excellent.
READ SNARKED!
I still don't get it.What will be the difference between .1 and a regular issue?

Space is disease and danger wrapped in silence and darkness.
I was hoping all the artists would also be the same, but I know that's not possible.
Top 3: Batman, Wonder Woman, X-force
Nothing, its really just a start of a new storyarc but some issues will be $1 less.
I'm not sure how the .1 issues will sell but cant imagine retailers ordering more than they usually do for the regular issue. Unless they are returnable of course which I doubt.
I doubt you will see any carry over in sales to the next issue. People aren't stupid they buy what they want to buy and can find their own jumping on points and $2.99 is not really an incentive. $1.99 I think a lot of people would just be like sod it why not.
This is actually kind of badly thought out but I expect nothing less from the jobs for the boys club Marvel has become.
Again the success of this comes down to the price issue and offering these issues at what everyone feels should be the regular price per issue just brings attention to how overpriced the regular issues are.
it's an unbelievably confusing initiative and I doubt the issues will sell any more than the usual issues...
will people who don't regularly read comic sites realise why issue 500 and 500.1 are next to each other on the shelves? and what the differences are?
won't Joe Bloggs on the street think it is another variant?
yes both Wolverine's will be number 5.... both Iron Man's will be numbered 500 etc...
the .1 will mean nothing to anyone apart from the 5%-15% of comic readers who frequent sites like this...
This was a dumb thing when first announced, and it's still dumb today.
Read about the greatest series ever, Alpha Flight...from the beginning!
Why couldn't these just be the next issue instead of complicating things with the decimal hooey?
"Iron Man 501 is a super jumping on point a buck cheaper and issue 502 comes out next week!"
Marketing promotes the hell out of it the exact same way and retailers know to point new readers towards those issues.
Then Tom and Alex don't have to spend half the presentation alleviating the confusion.
