    Nope...well, kind of sort off.
It had hotkeys in that if you clicked a button it would change your active ability to that, but you still had to then click the mouse to activate it. So they weren't real hotkeys, because it had to cycle the active ability.

I think Diablo 2 was the first rpg game I got involved into. I had no idea that spending points in the same talent tree would help your character better. I remember spending all my talent points in useless things and my brother be like "what are you doing!?" Was either a Paladin or Druid.. Don't remember.
    Keep Moving Forward.

Diablo 2 is probably one of my favorite games of all time. So Diablo 3 had better not disappoint.

And I'm not sure if anyone plays this game for the story, but I actually really enjoyed the plot and the lore of this series, and so I'm also really hoping for a satisfying ending that won't cause fans to rise up in arms ala ME3.

After reviewing the individual classes and thier playstyle videos with commentary by the game designer I will most likely be going Wizard. I prefer ranged classes to melee in Diablo and I beat 2 with Sorceror solo.

I don't like melee classes unless they do a lot of aoe (Monk can) and I dont like setting up traps before each fight (Like assassin or Hunter). The Time bubbles look very cool and I definately get the feeling that the Wizard is carrying double fisted cannons around, especially with the long beams that light everything it touches on fire.

It does look however like the least adaptable of the classes as most of thier upgrades are mostly "X does 4% more damage" or "X costs 50% less mana to cast". Other classes get "X becomes an aoe attack" or "Your three wolves become one giant wolf that gives health back to you whenever they attack".

IGN had an article comparing the changes from II to III and the video really pokes you painfully in the nostalgia centers of your brain. You will see the new beautiful game for III alongside the now horribly dated gameplay of II and I can't bring myself to play II anymore.

I am also going to pass on the demon hunter for solo play, in several scenes the demon hunter seems rooted while firing for 10 seconds with a 45 degree cone of turning motion for shooting but was swamped in piles of enemies for 360 degrees.

I started with the wizard and it was what I remember from the sorceror, move and fire, move and fire, boss? Lots of running and fire when you have the chance.

Then I played the demon hunter and jesus does she hit hard and fast. The repeating shot ability crushes anything it focuses on and it works just as well on groups as single targets. It practically took out the bigger bosses with only one full use of hatred (energy source). You might as well be packing a gatlin gun at that rate. I think the hunter will be my go to character. I only had a bow and didnt get a chance to try the double crossbows because when I found a set that were good I had just blown all my money on the blacksmith upgrade.

If you want blacksmith stuff try and save your unneeded magic items and let him break them down to give you what you will need for ingriedients for his better recipies.

I bought and downloaded the digital edition from Blizzard a couple weeks ago.
My wife got into the closed beta last week. But now we can both play for the weekend.

Oh Diablo III open beta, you were over too soon.... too soon. I will have to wait out these next couple of weeks with only the solace that I will be getting you for free from my anual pass...

I played this as much as I could and finished the beta with 3 classes. The Voodoo character seems like a fun grab bag of wierd abilities and the Demon Hunter is pure death on legs (I started a second hunter in nightmare mode, you die your done.) and the Wizard was a bit of a let down, too much fire run fire run fire run.

Wow, just wow.... I had planned on completing act I with witch hunter and then doing Act I with Demon Hunter but as I got into it I wanted to get to a good customization point first, which is about act II. Then I got so addicted to Act III that I couldn't stop until it was time to pass out...

I am using a Witch doctor without zombie dogs, instead I use Horror which makes anyone near you run away from you. Instead I have a trait that says everytime I kill a mob I have a 5% chance to raise a zombie dog within 12 yards and you can add yards with gear that extends your gold/health orb pick ups. So all my gear has + pick up yards and +x to heals from healing orbs which also heal my pets. I have a gargantuan tank and a templar that gives me health regen and my pets. Then I have an ability that multiplys my int by how many enemies are near me with a max of 5, which I then scare off me quickly. Int decides my damage output and so I start lobbing exploding skulls at my enemies and its pretty much 1 or two hits to kill a guy but its aoe, so I usually kill a few. Then I have acid spill with does even more damage and I added a run to tripple its aoe range and I'm practically spamming that to kill off large clusters of guys which creates zombie dogs very quickly and I am mowing them down. :)
Act I and Act II seem like a better version of DII's Act I and II but when you hit Act III the game gets very exciting, you are trying to defend a bastion from an invasion and there are objectives to complete instead of just crawling through the board like usual. Boss fights require a little more than fire and run and I actually had to retool my build to take on Azmodan. I had to take more fire and forget stuff rather than snare traps and blow darts. Exploding Frogs for the win!
