    Default Diablo III

I'm waffling between a mage and a demon hunter. The demon hunter looks awesome, but I worry that I'll have lots of irritating money shortages and trips back early on from needing to buy arrows and grenades.

This worked so well for Ubisoft that Blizzard had to give it a shot. Guess I'll stick to Torchlight for my Diablo needs.

EDIT: Now reading that mods are banned as well. Apparently it's against it's terms of service. Blizzard doesn't want me to buy their game

This is so goddamn retarded. Wouldn't online authentication be enough?

Getting fucking tired of not being able to play/install my single player games every time my connection craps out or I move, or whatever. I need to just start pirating stuff so I don't have to deal with this garbage.

Personally, I don't pirate anything. But it's bullshit like this that makes me understand why people do it.

Its an unfortunate circle that feeds itself. Gamers pirate games, so companies tighten security and force you to be online for singleplayer, which just encourages more pirating, which just pushes the developers further into tightening their fists.

    Eventually, somethings gonna snap.
    Life is but a dream.

    The news gets better.
Diablo 3 will have an auction house to buy and sell gear with other players.
Ok, that's fine, helps to get gear.
However, the auction house items can be listed for ingame gold, or ACTUAL MONEY, that the players can keep after blizzard takes a cut of it.

The Seven Sins of Star Wars

    1: Yoda can beat God
2: Blaster pistols can blow up planets
3: Lighsabers are as hot as the sun
4: Luke Skywalker can move black holes
5: Star Destroyers can blow up planets
6: Darth Sidious rips Superman's head off
7: General Grevious has Force TK

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is not canon to anything. Nor is the new Clone Wars movie.

So...what's the issue here? If you don't want to do it, don't. I really have nothing against the option. It's simply legalizing a thing that already happens with WoW, and letting blizzard take a cut.

I personally don't care about the online thing because well, my PC is connected to the internet and it's not exactly common to have my service go out. I can understand why others are bugged by it. Not so much that I think people are justified in pirating it, though.

    Whats the problem with it?
Well, let me see. PVP is being introduced to the game, according to them, in a more serious way.
If X person is rich, and Y person is poor, X person can buy any gear they want, Y person cannot.
Cash shops are fine for vanity items, cash shops are fine for single player games, Cash shops that give people with more money an advantage in the game are not really cool.
Then taking a cut i don't have an issue with, that makes sense. Them doing it for a game that is going to really encourage multiplayer (again, pointing too the online all the time or no play) and where gear is a huge part of the game, the main part of the game, isn't cool imo.
Edit: Btw, remove pvp from the game, and i have suddenly have zero problem with this. I don't care if a bunch of friends spent 50 bucks to get decked out and run through hell, it doesn't effect me.

On this point, meh. People already bought gear from each other with real money back in Diablo II.

No playing without internet is annoying though.
