CBR: Remender Ushers In X-Force's Apocalypse

In "The Apocalypse Solution," the debut arc of "Uncanny X-Force" series, the titular team has targeted the villainous Apocalypse for elimination. We spoke with writer Rick Remender about the villain's return.

I dislike everyone but Psylocke and Archangel. They are the Ja Rule and Ashanti of this boring group. They need to come up with a new Excalibur book instead of re-iterating Murder inc. but instead of Selene, it's the other old bitch of the X-folk, Apocalypse.

I didn't used to be into these characters, but the plot and character conflicts has my interest piqued.

There were several references to the seed of Death, as it relates to Angel, but also others; I wonder how it will play out in Gambit...?

Sounds like something big will happen in this arc. Major changes to one character and possibly a death. My money is on E.V.A. being separated from Fantomex (like in Morrison's 'Here Comes Tomorrow' arc of New X-men set in the far future) and possibly him dying. But all of the members of this team are pretty popular, so I'm not sure that anyone will actually die despite that being teased. If one of them was to die, Fantomex is definitely the most expendable. No way will they kill Wolverine or Deadpool, and I even think that Archangel and Psylocke are unlikely. The latter just came back from the dead a couple of years ago.

If they off Fantomex, I want Cable to come back as a replacement for him. I've wanted to see Wolverine, Cable and Archangel on a team together ever since that badass Jim Lee cover for the X-Tinction Agenda trade.

I love everyone on the team except Arcangel. I hope Remender gets hip and has Chamber replace him.

Perhaps they don't want to spoil upcoming issues since many fans spoiled the end of Second Coming for themselves by reading the Curse of the Mutant previews.

You know he really would be perfect for this title. They should swing back/forward? in time and get him. They can chuck Deadpool into the time stream on the way back.
