Not surprised, anyone with cable/dish/whatever who wasn't getting AMC before, was for a couple days prior to the debut.
The Punisher: I’m going to cauterize your rectum, sealing it shut, so when you turn those delicious Pink Pants™ Fruit Pies into waste products the bilirubin in your feces will leach into your bloodstream and you’ll die screaming! And I’ll watch while having sex with this grateful prostitute!

It was a well-deserved hit, the pilot was excellent.
That's right! Al Gore invented the internet, let's all go kick his ass!
I got your inconvenient truth right here, motherf*&¨%!

Well done AMC! I really enjoyed this episode.
Wonder what it'll reach when they factor in the 'plus7' or whatever it's called, week of DVR viewings.
I also wonder if the tv show will gain viewers as it goes the way the comic gains readers.
Well, it was Halloween. A good chunk may have just wanted to get in the spirit.
And many of those may tune in to see how it goes... I still haven't watched it. I hope we can watch it tonight.

Great news, would love to see CBR and some of the other sites with reach do a study on whether or not there is a measurable impact on book sales tied into all of these properties.

It was great. Good stuff Kirkman!
Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah man
Congrats to Kirkman, Moore, Adlard, Rathburn and Erik Larsen.
Darabont and co. What a great decision to go TV mini-series instead of trying to cram all of this story into a 2 hour movie.
Watchmen should have gone this route. Anyways..thanks for the entertaining TV.

Well written, well paced, well performed, well shot and, well, very good. Both suitably downbeat and immediately superior to 99% of everything else on the box. Congratulations all 'round.
It wouldn't be real if was "perfect", of course, and I thought that the opening flashback scene, though effective for what it was, seemed oddly out of place.
This, at least we now know: it retains the flavour of Kirkman's child while being unique unto itself. (and why is the auto-check flagging "flavour"? seriously...)
hell yeah!!
Very happy about this. I've actually never even picked up the comic book, but I love zombie flicks and was really looking forward to watching this series. I hope it stays around for a good, long time. I love the idea of having something zombie-related to look forward to on a weekly basis, especially when it's of such high quality as the first episode of The Walking Dead was.
Great work, AMC!
