    Bizarro League:
Ultra/Nega Boy: Negates only one power at a time around him in a large bubble. Can choose which power to negate (for example, just Superman’s power to fly.)
Joe Average: Is average at everything, and can get no better (or worse).
The Vain Venusian: He’s made of beautiful polished metal, and even likes looking at his reflection IN HIMSELF. Never shuts up about anything including himself and his mind is totally impregnable, not that there’s much there. So annoying even DARKSEID facepalms when he visits.
Lord Weasel: A creature of the night; he’s sneaky, backstabbing, a yes man, cowardly, spiteful and greedy. Steals from the rich and pretty much keeps it- drives the criminals out of town by buying them out and robbing them blind as his costumed alter ego. Given a black mark by every charity on the planet and a rare kill-on-sight order by the Salvation Army.
White Thunder: You know those times when you just want to sleep or things to be quiet? He’s your worst nightmare. A robot so desperate to prove he’s a “real person” that he goes overboard: Hawaiian shirt, loud laughter, terrible jokes, backslapping. Watches a lot of TV in an attempt to “fit in.” Basically Bender with a massive inferiority complex, a thousand annoying mannerisms and a huge memory or bad and tasteless jokes.
Power - Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. But it rocks absolutely, too.

This time around, you're creating your own Justice League. However, by some twist of fate (I need to stop lending Nelson my record player...) we are all now in the Bizarro world! As such your picks should be Bizarro versions of your normal picks!

    Rules
    -Manageable team size (4-10)
-Each character you pick should be tweaked in such a way to be Bizarr-ified. For example, classic Bizarro has the inverse powers of Superman (ice-vision and heat-breath as opposed to heat-vision and cooling breath, etc.) Basically, invert the powersets to be the opposite.
-Get creative! How would you like to see your favorite characters inverted?
Bizarro Aquaman - Despite his weakness (an aversion to water), BA is the hero of Bizarro World. Everyone loves him and no one has ever told a Bizarro Aquaman joke.
Bizarro Batman - on the other hand BB is eligible to collect royalties on the many, MANY jokes told about him, but since he doesn't, he's poor. But since he doesn't gte any of the jokes, he doesn't mind. It's not like he has another book to appear in.
Bizarro Cyborg - BC is called BC because he's been a member since AC. Is he DC/AC? This am not Bizarro Vertigo for kids.
Bizarro Vibe - the greatest JLB member of all time, loved even by those who don't like Bizarro Aquaman.
Bizarro Wonder Woman - dresses in plainclothes inspired by Purdey (played by Joanna Lumley). Has no powers, as most JLB fans want.
Bizarro Superman - Gets less page time than Bizarro Batman.

Wait until the JLB meets the Justice Society Bizarro of Earth 1 in "Crisis spelled backwards is like kissing your Sister"

    Default Theme of the Week!

HEEEEEEEEY KIDS! IT'S YOUR OLD PAL BINKY THE CLOWN! *clears throat* Excuse me. Well, it's Sunday again, and you know what that means! New Team Theme!

I just finished reading a book on the Beatles, and it got me thinking: There's the Fab Four, there's the Fantastic Four, they both came out around the same time, so why not...

    The Fabtastic Four!

Your mission is to create a team of four heroes (or villains, if your prefer), but with some catches.

    Rules
-Your team must have four members exactly, unless you want to include a "Fifth Beatle" kind of character, like Spidey is for the Fantastic Four.
-Your members must have some sense of history or a strong relationship (interpret as you will) between them.
-You can model your team after either the Fantastic Four or The Beatles, but bonus points if you can pull off both. God knows I'm gonna try...
-For reference, the Fantastic Four we'll be using is the classic lineup of Mr. Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, the Human Torch, and the Thing. The Beatles are the Beatles.
-However, if you want to go off of the "Beatle nicknames", John Lennon was the "smart one", Paul McCartney was the "cute one", George Harrison was the "quiet one" and Ringo Starr was the "funny one".

If you can pull off some combination of these two foursomes, I think you pretty much win. Also, extra secret super special bonus points for how close you follow the Beatles' history, if you so choose (Lennon/McCartney's relationship parallel to Reed Richards/Susan Storm, perhaps?).
Have an idea for a DC Team Theme? PM me, and I'll put it on the list!

    Default Theme of the week!

Alrighty everyone! It's that time once again! New theme for the week!

Since it's Mother's Day today, I'm doing this one early to make sure I don't forget later on. And also since it's Mother's Day, you might could be able to guess what the theme is...

    She's One Bad Motha-

Your mission is to create a team of meta-moms!

    Rules
-Your team must be all female.
-Standard team size, 4-10, wiggle room on either end.
-Your picks must either have or be capable of having children, or are a team of mothers and daughters.
-If you feel so inclined, you can create a mother/daughter for a team member, but make it "realistic". (similar power sets, etc.)
-Or, if you'd rather "adopt", you could have an adoptive mother/daughter relationship, but if you do then explain how the pairing came to be.

Hopefully this makes sense! Happy Mother's Day, everyone, and treat your moms like they're the Queen of Themyscira! Or Atlantis. Or whatever dominion you prefer.

Someone's kidnapped several beings throughout time and the children of these ladies are among them. They're pretty peeved and seeking to rescue their kids.

Hippolyta- she's the leader and the seasoned warrior who's seeking both Diana and her adopted daughter, Fury.

Power Girl- the powerhouse of the team is looking for her Zero Hour offspring which no one remembers... including her.

Mirage- Deathwing may be involved somehow with her child's disappearance... or is that a ruse? Her illusions may come in handy in the team's mission.

Cheshire- the... dark... member of the team, she is willing to do whatever it takes to get her daughter back (Cry for Justice never happened. NEVER.) and although the other ladies can't stand her, her ruthless nature may be needed.

Catwoman- the expert, already on edge due to her 'unfindable' baby being taken, can Selina work through everything to save her daughter?

Lady Clay- the wild card, without her (incarcerated) husband, she's disguised as Linda Park and has infiltrated the team. However, will she betray them all to save her boy?

Meloni Thawne- the future, if she doesn't save Bart, time will unravel, but her... impulsive... nature doesn't exactly convey the gravity of the situation to the others of the team.

Mera- the elemental, she sees the temporal abduction of her son as a chance to save him. Can she succeed, or is his future set in stone? Also, will she seek a certain red ring once more for added power?

Circe- the mage, can she put aside her hatred of Diana and Hippolyta in order to save Lyta? You bet. She's still gonna be a pain, though, but she and Hippolyta definitely agree that whoever the kidnapper is, they will suffer torments untold.

Empress- the young one, her situation is... different. Her kids are her parents. If she fails, will she cease to exist? She also bonds well with Meloni, due to her experience with Bart in Young Justice.

    ---

The kidnapper? Granny Goodness is grooming some new furies for the glory of Darkseid. She better hope her Furies, new and old, will be enough to shield her from the League of Angry Moms!

It's Sunday, SUNDAY, SUNDAY, and we all know what that means! New Theme Day! Weeeeeee!

This theme comes to us from esteemed contributor CaptCleghorn! Thanks, Captain! I quite like this one and I'm interested to see what comes out of it. It's...

    Poker Night in the DCU

From an intercompany crossover idea from AdamYJ... (kinda)

Which 6 DC characters would you bring together for a poker game? Add a seventh dealer if you wish.

    Rules
-No super-senses or telepathy or any meta-ability that would erase the nuances of real poker playing (i.e. luck manipulation, magic, anything that could change the outcome of the game)
*NINJA EDIT* If you choose to include a dealer, they could have these abilities, but they may not use them to sway the course of the game.
-Put in a little backstory if you can/care to about how the group got together in the first place. Is this a weekly thing, or is it a high-stakes, one-night-only, save-the-world game? Do the group get along, or is there conflict? Any further fleshing out of the teams is always interesting but is also optional.

Remember, if you have any ideas of your own, feel free to send them to me and we'll use them in the thread! Any and all ideas are welcome, from something as simple as "Rework the JSA using only former members of the Teen Titans" to "Put together a team of supervillains who could overthrow a country's government" or something.

Anyway, happy picking! I know I've been a bit lacking in my own contributions of late, but I'll definitely be partaking in this theme!

The old Shazam! villain(?) the Gamester sets up a poker tournament to decide the fate of the universe... or something equally stupid. If he wins, all reality is thrust into perpetual games where everyone must scrabble about (ha! Scrabble) for his amusement.

Oh, and he chose his opponents...

G'Nort- "What? I *wasn't* supposed to eat the cards? oops. Sorry!"
Bart Allen Impulse- "ThisisboringletsplayGoFishorOldMaidorBlackjackorC razyEightsorZeldaorDiabloorBaseballorPingPongorPok emonorMagicor..."
Dumb Bunny- " *tee hee* You sunk my battleship!"
Mister Mind- "Can... can someone hold up my cards for me? Anyone? Please? Aw, c'mon... this isn't faaaaair... ... I HATE YOU ALL!!!"
Bizarro #1- "oH! aN EMPTY HOUSE-- ME FOLD! hOORAY! ME LOST AGAIN!"

And just to make things extra insane, the dealer is-- The Joker! Guaranteed to keep everything completely chaotic!

    My picks for the week!

    DC After Dark

Some of DC's greatest... well, some of DC's supervillains gather together once a week to shoot the shazam and play some cards. (I'll try and round up a hero team later).

Dealer: Captain Boomerang (representing the Rogues). He uses his abilities to do some crazy shuffles and trick deals.
Seat 1: Harley Quinn. (You were expecting someone else?) Everyone's favorite "bad-girl Friday" plays up her dumb blonde act to lure her opponents into traps. Or at least that's what she tells herself.
Seat 2: Dr. Sivana. His sniveling nature will either amuse or annoy the other guests, so I think that would be fun to see.
Seat 3: Larfleeze. Come on, who doesn't want to see this guy play poker?
Seat 4: The Gambler. Another Golden Age villain, this guy was born for this, but he never shuts up about "the good ol' days".
Seat 5: Giganta. Smart as a whip, but you wouldn't like her when she's angry. A bit of a sore loser.
Seat 6: General Zod. "Zod will match your inferior wager and increase it twice more!" (Harley: "Yeah, yeah, give it a rest, Olivier...")

Why do I feel like this would've been easier with Marvel characters... Anyway, new theme tomorrow, everyone, so get your picks in quick-quick-quick!

Jenna, hold my calls. It's time for another DC TEAM THEME! And anymore it seems like it's just me and Schornforce... In that case, hi, Schornforce!

Uh, so yeah, The Avengers is shaping to be one of the most profitable movies of all time. It is also really damn good, but I respect your opinions to disagree. I'll kill you, but I'll kill you with respect. But it also ties into this week's theme which comes to us from our resident phone number, 1505627! Thanks! And if you have theme ideas, send them in!

    DC Dark Avengers
Your mission is to create a team of six DC supervillains to take on the featured heroes in The Avengers movie.

Rules (I know, I know, but there must be some semblance of order...)
-Six villains. Or seven if you want a Loki-big-boss-type character.
-The featured heroes are Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Hawkeye, and Black Widow. Your villains may be matched one to one (i.e. a villain to take on each hero individually, with either similar or opposite powersets/personalities/etc.) or a team of villains to take on the Avengers as a whole.
-How you choose your characters is up to you, but try to provide some sort of reasoning/backstory if you can.
    -Have fun!

    Hi, Veggieleezy! :)

For my team, I could go with a one-on-one team or copycat Loki and the aliens with DC equivalents, but I think I'll try something different--

My group would be sort of an anti-S.H.I.E.L.D. and would I suppose be if the sequel was a crossover or something.

    1. Ra's al Ghul- the leader and coordinator. As determined as ever to start the world anew with himself as the master. I imagine a fight between him and Cap would be epic... once Cap cuts a swath through the hordes of devoted followers, of course.

    2. Talia al Ghul- ever conflicted, she's by her father's side, but with no one on the Avengers to tug at her heart, she's far less likely to defy her father. As a bonus, at some point she'd have to fight against Hawkeye and later Black Widow.

    3. Prometheus- the new 'heir' to the Ghul throne. I wonder why as an 'anti-Batman,' he hadn't been considered as a possible heir. Sure he 'cheats,' but no more so than Ra's, really. Different paths to the same result. He infiltrates S.H.I.E.L.D. and takes things apart from the inside, exploiting weaknesses left and right and gathering any and all intel he can.

    4. Doctor Poison- she'd be a valuable asset to Ra's forces... until he determines he no longer has a need for someone as... unbalanced as she is. But still, she'd have her uses in improving the Lazarus Pit and perhaps devising some nasty toxins for the... sturdier... Avengers.

    5. Doctor T.O. Morrow- he's the robotics expert for the team's heavy hitter-- the one who will steal the Avengers' powers and use them to raze the majority of the populace. Woe unto Iron Man if Morrow gets ahold of the armor...

    6. Amazo- Similar to other versions, but looking akin to the JLU version, this robotic construct would be able to steal and mimic the Avengers' powers and perhaps has a few others programmed in (web blasters? magic lasso? heat vision?)

    My team.

Shaggy man: General wade eiling. leader of the team and an opponent for the hulk. his militarism contrasts with banner's outlaw status
Merlyn: perenial archer villain, perfect foe for hawkeye
Prometheus: A man who was artificially raised to peak human ability but lacks cap's good nature
Hercules: An arrogant son of god who's nowhere near as noble as Thor Odinson
Poison Ivy: Red haired seductress, good widow foe
Lew Luthor: Billionaire super genius with powered armor. duh

Captain America: Captain Nazi. This ones pretty obvious, they both fought in the second world war, they've both been enhanced to the peak of human potential by science, they've both been placed in suspended animation only to emerge in the 21st century and they have complete opposite ideals and beliefs.
Iron Man: Bane. Both have enhanced their body to superhuman levels using science and teachnology, and are normal humans without it. They are also both arrogant and dysfunctional geniuses with drug addictions (though banes is a lot different to Tony's )
Hulk: Solomon Grundy. Mindless brutes with simplistic personalties and massive strength.
Thor: Genocide. I picked Genocide not because she's similar to Thor, but because she would be a good opponent for him. Shes got super strength, speed and durability, and has psychic powers.
Black Widow: Scandal Savage. Two ruthless femme fatales on different sides of the law, both with violent pasts.
Hawkeye: Merlyn. Merlyn was the only character I could think of for Hawkeye. He's a pretty obvious foe, being a super talented archer and assasin.

Okay, I think I got this. I was gonna go super-corny on this, but decided against it.

Captain America: The leader, the man with the plan, the soldier. Who better to take on the master tactician than the most erratic and unpredictable character in the DCU? I am referring of course to the Joker. He puts the team together mostly for laughs but also because they're stealing his (posthumous) spotlight with their claims of having the best superhero movie of all time. NO ONE steals Joker's spotlight.
Iron Man: Brilliant engineering mind with a suit of iron granting him power. Can he outsmart the equally brilliant Dr. Polaris, a man who can bend metals to his will?
Hulk: Hulk smashes. Doomsday kills Superman. Game on.
Thor: God of thunder. And rock 'n' roll. However, in the DCU, there can be only one master of the weather. Welcome to the table Weather Wizard.
Black Widow: The stoic, poised femme fatale of Marvel would be paired off against everyone's favorite psycho sidekick Harley Quinn. I think watching them fight would be pretty funny. "Hey, Red, you get a new outfit?"
Hawkeye: Hawkeye may be the best with a bow, but can he compete with someone who's the best with a bullet? Deadshot rounds out the team with a deadly accuracy.

My teams never seem to have as much historical depth as you guys... Ah, well.
Have an idea for a DC Team Theme? PM me, and I'll put it on the list!
