Missed Moments of Awesome

It always bothered me we never got a cross-over team-up with Dexter's Lab and the Powerpuff Girls, even though they clearly existed in the same universe. The same goes for Duck Tales/Darkwing Duck (though they did at least cross-over in the Boom!Studios comics).

The last arc of the Magical World arc in Negima had a bitch-ton of missed moments of awesome as the action girls were neglected. This is mainly aimed at how Setsuna's and Mana's fights were completely skipped and treated as unimportant sideshows.

There has yet to be a kid Loki/Amadeus Cho team-up. Until this is rectified it is missed awesomeness of the highest degree.

ANd honestly it's a super-hero cartoon. Gizmo Duck was about the only one who COULD wander in for an episode or two without being mostly superfluous.

There's a Dexter/PPG webcomic out there somewhere, it uses pretty much all of CN's old original characters.

For me, a huge MMoA in the Bayformers series was NO DINOBOTS. They had NBE-08 in the promo material for the first film, it was Grimlock's G1 grey-and-yellow look and bodystyle.



If they had cut out all the human crap in DotM and had human-built dinobots as shock troops for the attack on Chicago it would have been much better. Yeah that blonde chick was hot, but not that hot (even though "be hot" was her entire purpose in the movie).

Come to think of it, the battle of blackwater (?) was also kind of underwhelming, considering how badass it was supposed to be in the books,

I've seen it. It has some neat ideas, but overall I don't really care for it. Too much pathos for characters who really don't need it.

Have you read them? Because that's pretty much exactly how some of them end.

I've watched the movie and read the occasional bits. That was enough to tell me that I didn't really want to get invested in it.

Books are better than the movie, even though I did really like that the movie made a whole new narrative using elements from the book. But yeah, the book series is excellent at building you up to what you think are going to be these really awesome showdowns or whatever, and then... oh, wait, no, psyche, we're just gunna let the situation resolve itself.

Now, I admit, that kind of ending does work in a couple instances, but most of the time it's like the author was deliberately Punking you with an anti-climax.
