    Anyone ever see a Ditko gray Hulk before? From Marvel Super-Heroes v.2 #3, gotta hunt this one down...

    I alwys get so stuck on Sal Buscema's Hulk that I forget that the Hulk actually had a few stellar artists on him that made him look great around that time.

    Man, what an awesome rendition of the transformation. This hulk is truly bizarre!

    Agree on wanting more Mike Mignola -- those covers were fantastic! However, I prefer the Mignola of old, like this:

    Not a big fan of his stuff like this, there's something lacking in his work;

    Yeah, I don't know what's up with his modern day stuff, but his old stuff on Hulk particularly kicked my tail all over.

    I think it started during his AF run -- either that or the inker had more of an influence on his work than realized.
    Here's a nice one with both Mignola & Byrne (during their title swap).
    I really, really can't stand it when Byrne apes Kirby's look, though.

    Mignola & Byrne are a winning combo. ;)

    As a BPRD/Hellboy fan, I prefer Mignola's current stuff waaaay more than the old. Admittedly, he can sometimes be hard to interpret.

    Maybe when you read the stories along with the art it hooks you in better, but just looking at his modern art as an outsider is a little different.

    Thanks. I'm starting to rotate thru some already used McFarlane pics, but I'm not sure if I used this one before. And I thought it'd be a bit larger -- but that was a favorite transformation scene when I was a kid, so seeing it with a green Hulk satisfies my childhood wishes.

    Here's some sketches from Byrne, circa `85 or so, where he drew him as a walking mass of muscle rather than a Kirby slab/blob. And the shaggy hair too!

    Yeah, Byrne tended to draw a larger-sized Hulk.
