So Witchblade is now $3.99? Seems that Marvel isnt the only publisher that ups the price...

Top Cow kept Witchblade at $2.99 longer than most independent publishers would have.

I plan to shift my Walking Dead collection to the Omnibus.. (whatever the plural of that word is) pretty soon. Love that Haunt cover.

I'm pleased that Robert Kirkman's growing presence means that I get a new Savage Dragon-related trade coming my way in SuperPatriot: America's Fighting Force. Featuring the original Invincible creative team of Kirkman & Cory Walker. It's four issues of action, Nazis, humour and an 80 year old man having sex with his 30 year old girlfriend. Good stuff!

Sure, but when Marvel or DC up the price of a title, everyone and their mother bitches about it, when a different company does, no one says a word. It's a double standard...

Heavyink is selling the first issue of "Who is Jake Ellis?" for $1.99. Use the .99 shipping option and you're still ahead of cover price. While you're there, stop by the forum and have a chat with the writer of the series.

I will be checking that out along with Infinite Vacation.

No, that is just something they're doing for that particular issue. The original solicits of #14 and #15 had it back up to the regular $2.99 before they were resolicited.

Right, because Top Cow is owned by a massive media conglomerate like Time Warner or Disney.

Exactly. Marvel and DC didn't need to raise the prices but did so out of greed. Top Cow may need to raise the price in order to actually still publish the book. Different motivations... and not a company decision, anyway, but rather the decision of one studio.

Really though... who cares what the reason for raising the price is? It still effects my pocket and means that one book has to be dropped. And Im going with the book I like more... not the one that had non-greedy motivations to raise their price

Glad to see Image doing the Walking Dead Weekly thing. I won't be subscribing right now, but there is a gap in my collection somewhere between the Compendium and where I subscribed at. I haven't gotten around to catching up in trades, maybe I'll get my missing issues this way.
