I've already set my TIVO! I am going to make a night out of this premier and have my own little party. Traditionally, Avengers cartoons have been horrible. I still have nightmares about that last Avengers show they tried to make. This one looks different. I'm ready to for a decent Avengers cartoon for once. It's long overdue!

Does anyone know if this was supposed to connect to the same continuity of Wolverine and the X-Men? There's a couple of small things in the micro-episodes that make me think that in the development stage that it was supposed to. That and the similarity in animation.

I'm really excited for this show. I absolutely love the micro-episodes. I can't wait to see the series in full.

The shorts thus far have been wonderful. Can't wait for the main serious. It seems to have some Wolvie and the X-Men connections (especially Logan being a Howling Commando.)
We'd like to wish EZMOHR all the best in his future....ah forget it.

It certainly doesn't skimp on the action in the mini-episodes. This could be as good as JLU if they do this right. Hopefully the Wasp's look will evolve over the course of the series.

re-watching wolverine and the xmen, i think its the only cartoon that properly displayed icman being the OMEGA level threat hes sposed to (creating huge ice landing strips, ice-beaming through the blackbird without effectiing the windshield, etc) so i truly have high hopes for yost and crew for the avengers

Yost has hinted at as much, or at least similar, in his thread on the Avengers board.

I thought "Omega Level Threat" meant someone with the power to destroy/wipe out all life on the planet. I don't think Iceman's anywhere near that class.

As for Avengers, I thought the mini-eps were solid, story/writing-wise. I'd actually like it if the kept this format for the actual show. The animation was uneven. It was pretty well executed overall, but I wasn't crazy about the actual style used in some of them (particularly the Thor episodes).

I thought it was cool that Wolverine was on Fury's Howling Commandos.

The mini eps have been awesome as a set-up to the series. I just hope the show keeps up the high level of story telling that the mini eps did. It definitely feels more adult than the Y7 rating it has been given.

The Ant-Man/Wasp mini-episode was my favorite. But..um, yeah, Jan's outfit, not so much. As you say, hopefully she'll offer a parade of different costumes.
Wonder Woman does not need a sword or shield. She's Wonder Woman.

It seems to be a mix of the Ultimate world with some of the movie world.
