I was real happy to hear the response to 'Astonishing X-Men' by Daniel Way and Jason Pearson," Alonso said. "I'm super excited. I think the story we're concocting involving big monsters in Tokyo and on Monster Island – all the Kirby monsters in all their glory – as scripted by Daniel in good sophomoric style and as drawn by Jason is going to be amazing. It's really going to leap off the page
    LOL What?

All the response I've seen was fairly negative.

Loads of sports stars read comics. I remember when NBA star Rasheed Wallace would go get his Marvel books when he played for the University of North Carolina

Mr. Alonso you disappoint me. In fact the Golden State Warriors were not the first eighth seed to defeat the first seed. In 1994 the eighth seeded Denver Nuggets defeated the first seeded Seattle Supersonics. If you want to quibble you could argue that the Nuggets/Supersonics was best of five while the Warriors/Mavericks was best of seven so the Warriors were the first eighth seed to defeat the first seed in a best of seven but that wasn't what you said.

They're cutting down on Deadpool titles.

I never thought there was a problem with multiple Deadpool titles. My problem if anything was having those, but still littering non-related titles with his presence. Doesn't seem fair to people that can't stand him in the first place.

    1. They keep talking about this debate that is going to happen in the future about the new 2.99 price point...... why dont they have it now? Are they thinking of way to goof on DCs later on because they dont have anything now?

    2. They are going to cut down on the "tie-in" comics during movie time....what? All they do is release a new on-going and push it to be similar to the movie like you did with the newest Iron Man Volume. Or get the character to make a deal with the devil to end up being similar to the movie. And you have a whole mess of extra minis for Thor and Cap coming out NOW.

    3. What's up with that hat, Tom? We are in the year of our lord 2010, we are not in 1986. Take it off or get something cooler. That fits.

And yes i am giving attire criticism in a comic book board.

Keep Deadpool and Deadpool Team-Up. The rest can go. Don't need fifty limited series with him in it, plus numerous Giant-Sized one-shots.

And Corps? Ugh. Rob's art just wrecked that book for me. Don't know how he still gets work.

Great interview. Tom and Alex actually make some good point on the prices and i like how they will focus more on the on-going series i like what they said.

Yeah, I think they just make up these things they said.
I hope the sales tank, they get a clue and decide to change the title's direction
