Default CBR: NYCC: IDW & Hasbro Panel

IDW takes some time at NYCC to discuss their Hasbro licensed titles, answer questions about the future of books like "Transformers" and "G.I. Joe" and address fan reaction to "Infestation."

I don't really see how a Zombie can effect a Transformer, but its a curious concept. It sounds like the Gi-Joe & Star Trek ones might be more interesting. Also the article talked about another transformers book spinning out of the infestation series. I wonder if this is going to be a seperate continuity from the ongoing series then?
Pull List: Transformers, Green Lantern, Batman Inc, Justice League, East of West and Deathmatch.

Apparently the zombies in the Zombies vs. Robots series (the IDW owned part of the crossover) can effect the robots in their own universe, so they can probably effect a Cybertronian as well.

So, G.I. Joe: Origins will end at #23. I've been expecting that to happen. However, I'm surprised that they've decided to re-number the main G.I. Joe title with a new #1. The "Cobra Civil War" sounds interesting.

Well I guess it was only a matter of time before IDW's licensed titles crossed over, but zombies? It was a good article, but I'm not liking this Infestation idea.

So once they relaunch GI Joe as season two, GI Joe will have had a crossover with zombie's? Or is this suppose to be in its own stand alone universe? I don't know, I'm just not a fan of this idea.

Okay. So this all starts from the Zombies vs Robots universe? Is anyone reading that series? Just curious as to what the basic theory is with infected robots.

I hate the renumbering of the main G.I. Joe title.

But I am enthused about the upcoming stuff with Dungeons and Dragons, R. A. Salvatore and the Dark Sun title.

I agree, its zombies, and vampires overload. Don't get me wrong, I like certain zombie, and vampire stories, but they don't need to be brought into everything.

I just don't want zombie's in GI Joe, and Transformers. I'm sure the writers can make it work, but I'm not happy about them bringing zombie's into these books. I just don't think its needed.

I also agree with you about hating the renumbering. Why don't they just take a month off for a break, and then continue the stories with the same numbering?

I love the 28 Days Later comic. But yes, it is definitely overload city out there.
