All great news and announcements. I was never worried about Vertigo to be honest; I know some where, but I don't think the recent releases and DC's characters reverting were the end of the Vertigo line

Only one new ongoing announced. Books dropping to twenty pages. Not good news.

I don't see how it's not good news. The 20 pages thing does suck, yes, but that's DC line wide thing, so it was expected for Vertigo. Also, a lot of the minis and GNs sound pretty interesting, and have some good talent behind them generally. Has Vertigo really announced a floodgate of ongoings at one time recently? Far as I can remember, in recent times, they're done it in spurts and kept the minis going pretty regularly. Seems more or less like business as usual to me (along with GN stuff they have going on).

Yeah, I didn't catch any news of a new ongoing. Which is kind of a good thing for my wallet, because I pick up most things Vertigo because they are normally leaps above in content than other publishers.

New York Four was published by Minx, right?

The only good news me was Azz/Risso work and Vertigo keeping the two creators of Unknown Soldier. People who created an awesome series like that must have kept around doing other Vertigo.

You cant let the few interesting creators go work somewhere else.

Yep! And it's a very good OGN (bigger than the digest format), well written (hey!! it's Wood there!!) and very good drawn by Ryan Kelly!!!

I didn't know that there was a planified sequel to it. I am gladly surprised and I can't wait for the trade!

For the Vertigo news, it's great to learn that this imprint is still alive and that almost DCU characters are out of its line.

The Vertigo Crime line is always of actuality. I really love the stories published in this line and also the chosen format: B&W HC OGN book size.

I only have a question about one of them: "The Green Woman". Is it an oversized OGN or an oversized illustrated prose book?

I think that we will see more and more GN/OGN and limited/ongoing series. It's also really important that all the Vertigo production is now creators own.

About the fact that the floppies will be 20 pages for $2.99, I really think that the artistic group will have time to produce these pages without making the comic book delayed due to work in progress.

Also, I think that the content will maybe be more "condensed" than before, bringing a lot of infos in only one issue. The story arc will greatly profit of this.

For the last, due to the relocation of the main DC Comics dept. in Burbank, I think that the Vertigo imprint will announce more titles to come in 2011.

I only have a little remark to do about the new format of the Vertigo OGN: the HC book with French flap cost $24.99 and its size is smaller than a regular GN/OGN. Maybe it's a way to do less expenses in publishing them and have the ressources to produce more and more OGN.

Vertigo Crime has been too much newbie creators with not good enough crime stories. Stories that try to be serious and not have actually good crime suspence....

Not worth buying 30+ dollars for Hardcovers with something like that.

If they were cheaper you could try creators you didnt know.

I saw John Bolton's name attached to "Green Woman" and immediately knew I had to add it to my list.

The one ongoing was the Azz thing.
My issue with the lack of announcements is that there has been ONE new ongoing this year, while four have seen the axe.
