Abnett and Lanning announced a new cosmic one-shot which is tentatively titles "Devastation Wave" which will set up the status quo of the cosmic part of Marvel moving into future projects
Come on, guys, try to hide it a bit better, we all like Annihilation but trying to do it again doesnt mean it will work the same.

Hobgoblin returns in the first new "Amazing" arc, which will also see Mac Gargan return to being Scorpion instead of Venom.

A younger fan asked what will happen to the Venom symbiote after Mac Gargan becomes Scorpion again, and Slott said that you would see in the first issue of "Big Time" "where the symbiote goes but not who gets it."
I really hope they fix the I-eat-some-living-being-eat-issue Venom with this. Dont disappoint the young fan that doesnt want to be traumatized each time he reads an issue that includes Venom.

And i really liked that old times F4 art.
That should be their covers from now on, back it back old school!!!

So let me guess: Loeb's plan for the Ultimate Universe was to blow it all up again?

My thoughts exactly. I was interested in who was doing a Ult. Captain America write-up because I liked his character in Ultimates 1/2, and this creative team was better than I could have hoped. Between this and Hickman's Ultimate Thor, its nice seeing some of Marvel's best writers on the Ultimate universe again.

I wish Ultimate Cap was Steve, either a WW2 story or current. Still, probably still check it out. Can't go wrong with Aaron and Garney.

My only question is what the hell is up with this picture from the preview? Uhhh Cap's groin has a muzzle flash! So, this Vietnam version of Ultimate Cap is so awesome he shot that guy in the foreground with his "Big Gun"? The expression on Cap's face seems to confirm this...

And what's up with that sort of liquid thing landing on that guy's face in the front?

I knew cap was in the Punisher Closet, that's why he always flips out when talking about the dude. Cap was a happy maniac while he was out there fighting but back home that was spun as this hero doing the right thing and so on. And when he woke up 50 years later he is all like, "Crap, I'm some sort of paragon!" He doesn't want to mess up that persona so he continues with the lie.

Cap is really a self hating Punisher.

    Fewer pages? Um... Nope. :)
And Marvel has taken a break from doing company-wide events in favor of smaller/pocket events for specific lines.

They certainly have. By the way, loved the Mighty Avengers and glad Christos is using some members in Academy.

But I'm missing the company-wides already and my reading is suffering.

Holy crap that FF image by Rivera is beyond awesome. I hope Marvel is making this guy a rich man. I would never let him leave my artist lineup...

How did they manage a second Ultimate Cap when they had problems making a new super-soldier well into Ultimates? Maybe he's not a super-soldier at all.
