I'm really please to hear this. Chris Bachalo is one of my favourite artists and one of the few people whose book I'd buy on their name alone. Fingers crossed Gischler starts to find his footing and gives us some sort of unique hook in this arc. Also, please keep Dodson OFF this title. Uncanny was bad enough when it was drawn by him.

I haven't picked up any of this series so far, but I'll definitely get the trade of this arc. It will be good to see Bachalo drawing the X Men again, even if it is only for one arc.

"When we start the next arc, we don't jump right into the next story. We take a little time to sort of get an idea of what the X-Men are up to now and what their current frame of mind is.
I'm glad to hear that. Comic's writer should spend more time into character's development. I hope it will be the case here. It's always good to have some issues without any fight but just intearction bewteen the different character.

I really hope Gischler sticks with this team. It'd make X-men more interesting in terms of long term character development.

Dodson's not really a bad artist.

At least he's better than Land and current Portacio.

Default What is the premise of this series?

What I mean is, how is it different from the other X-titles? New Mutants is easy enough--the premise is right there in the title. These are new/young mutants. Easy enough. Likewise with X-Force and X-Factor. Those are specialized X-teams. There's something distinctive enough about those titles that the casual reader can differentiate them from the "main" X-title.

But what's the point of this series? This is the title where any X-person can show up and do stuff? Sounds like that would be the main/flagship X-title, right? But isn't that kind of what Uncanny is--or is/was supposed to be?

This is a confusing situation happening with both major publishers, and it concerns several different properties. Similar things are happening with Thor and Batman. As a new reader, what would you follow if you wanted to read the "main" character title? The solicitations have offered next to no help. It's really sad that fans have to clarify this sort of thing on message boards. Seriously...I had to visit a Batman message board to figure out what the setting/premise of each Bat title was.

I don't mean to pick on "X-Men," but it is one of the worst examples.

It's the X-men title tie-in to Marvel U's Heroic Age era. Hence, there are more team-ups with mainstream Marvel characters like Blade and Spider-man.

A Storm led team in Manhattan with hopfully little Cyke and Emma = Sold

If the team return to the mansion, I will get 5 copies off the bat.

I disagree. I find his art plain and boring. Land is little better, but Portacio's last issue was actually quite acceptable. I really feel like Uncanny deserves superstar artists, but in the 15 years I've been reading, it rarely gets them (with the exception of Joe Mad).

Bachalo on the other hand is, as I said, great, and I'm much more excited for the next X-Men arc because of him.

And when did we get that explanation? Seriously. I don't recall that ever being explained. And really, it shouldn't require explanation. The premise should be right there in the title or on the title page.

Wouldn't it therefore have been better to call the title "X-Men Team-Up" or something like that? I'm looking at it from the perspective of a new reader or maybe someone who's been reading another company's titles and decides he/she wants to read some X-Men. If I was that person, I would be very confused about what to pick up.

Gambit's going to be in this? I was on the fence about whether I would start collecting this title, but I guess I'll give it a try.

Looking at the cover i'd say they including Wolverine are the core team, but i really hope not, their in far too many teams as it is. I'd like Storm to be the leader again but i doubt it if Cyke, Wolvie and Frosty are in it. They should just stick to their own 8 boring ass books.

Apperntly Gambit is in this so i'll give it a try (even though he'll be wallpaper like all the other X-men)

Its been said multiple times. Even the teasers highlighted the point of the book.

Storm leading a team in New York (where her husband T'Challa, currently resides...as of December) yes! Yes! thank the Goddess! YES!...7 is quite a propitious number, indeed.
