Anyone had a chance to read this yet?
I read it. Forgot this was coming out today, so along with Hellboy and BPRD, it's been a geek-boys dream come true.
I really liked this issue. Thinking I'm gonna be more hooked with this series than the previous one, which was excellent.
"Okay, I know I said I wasn't going to shake things up, but we're going to have to get some pants on this one."
I enjoyed the last series until the island - this one seems to have more depth already.
this issue really hits the ground running. the search for haigus is a very bloody trail. can't wait for the next issue!
SPACE FOR RENT!
Big fan of Witchfinder and Baltimore, have yet to crack the new ish open (or finish the latest Witchfinder for that matter)![]()
I desperately wish Stenbeck had taken over BPRD. I still hold out hope.
I wasn't a fan of the last series. I decided to pick up issue 1 of The Curse Bells because I love Stenbecks art so much, and I think I'll be happy to continue reading Baltimore now. It's off to a great start and I expect it'll be a fun read. I'm looking forward to the next issue.
I waited to read this one almost after HB and BPRD in order to give it a fair chance. I'm happy I did so. Those last two issues were just too monumental. This would have been overshadowed entirely. Still glad it came out at the same time as the other two books though.
I loved the kick off issue for Curse Bells! Dripping with nuance and character, just like it's predessor, I have a feeling this one will be worthy of the hardbound treatment. As to whether or not it will eventually be bound that way, not sure, but Mike's Baltimore stuff is truly stellar work.
Diggin' this book as much as any currently, keep it up!
A bit late, but this was such a great issue. Really love the atmosphere in Baltimore's world. Ben Stenbeck continues to amaze me. How do guys feel about this new character, Simon Hodge??
Currently reading:47 Ronin, Creepy, Frankenstein Alive Alive, The Goon, Haunted Horror, Hellboy, To Hell You Ride
Not sure how I feel about Hodge just yet, but I guess I'll know soon enough.
