I'm still a bit disappointed he wasn't nominated for Best Supporting Actor for the role.

I have nothing against CHRIS COOPER in "Adaptation," Paul Newman in "Road to Perdition," John C. Reilly in "Chicago," or Christopher Walken in "Catch Me If You Can" but I think he gave the most iconic supporting performance that year.

I haven't yet seen the Hours, so I don't know whether or not Ed Harris gave a better performance in that movie.
    Sincerely,

JK Simmons is doing one of the main voices in the upcoming Portal 2. I don't know how many of you guys play video games regularly, but the original Portal was very popular for its witty script and innovative puzzle solving. The sequel looks to expand on that, and JK Simmons is just as great as always.

You can hear him at 2:45, again at 3:52 and the remainder of the video.

"Those of you who volunteered to be injected with praying mantis DNA, I got some good news, and some bad news. The bad news is we're postponing the whole test indefinitely. The good news is we got an even better test for you: fighting in an army of Mantis-Men! Pick up a rifle and follow the yellow line; you'll know when the test starts."

I have to admit, JK Simmons was a real show/scene stealer, and definitely should've gotten the Best Supporting Actor award for his perfect performance. If nothing else, Spider-Man 3 should've won it for JK's JJJ. I always find myself when flipping through channels and if I should come upon SM3, I almost always wait for all of the JJJ scenes before flipping again.

I'm beginning to think JK Simmons may very well be for J.Jonah Jameson what Kevin Conroy is for Batman, what with Simmons having returned to the character several times since the movies. He is, to me, the definitive take on the character. He not only did a perfect job as JJJ in the movies, but he is one of two reasons why I watch Ultimate Spider-Man (the other being Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson). Also, he even voiced JJJ on Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes. How cool is that?!

If the Amazing Spider-Man movie gets a sequel, I would love to see JK Simmons back with a cigar and furiously yelling at his employees. It has to happen. I can't think of anyone who could do half as good a job as Simmons in the role.

And I love the scenes of his first appearance in SM2 and when Spidey retrieved his costume, glorious :D

Hey Aziz, did you ever see the deleted scene from Spider-Man 2 where Jameson is wearing the Spider-Man costume and leaping around on his desk? If you haven't, you totally should, it was awesome, and I think you'd enjoy it.

I think there needs to be a JJJ movie, with JK Simmons in the lead role. The guy just bleeds JJJ, even on the Farmers commercials its still JJJ. You could do a movie where he is the star and everything is from his perspective, but with Spider-Man and superhero stuff happening in the background. Like in the comic series Marvels.

I'd definitely go to see that. Although I think a TV show would be the better media for that concept, as a concept like that could sustain itself for sometime instead of your average 2 hour movie.

It really is. Toy Biz should have made a SDCC exclusive action figure of Spider-Jameson.
