Reports are hitting that "Easy A" actress Emma Stone will soon be offered the role of Mary Jane in Sony's "Spider-Man" reboot, leaving the role of Gwen Stacey and the mystery villain next to be cast.

She talks like a man. Or like my grandma with lung cancer.
They should cast Emma Roberts as Mary Jane.

Felicia, the problem is, I don't think she works on the movie screen. "A girl with cat powers!" That has "Fail" written all over it.

For Ultimate Spidey, she works well enough.
It it were more a 616 Spidey, in my head I would imagine someone a bit hotter.

Emma Stone is very pretty but she does have a really deep voice. I remember when I first heard her talk in Superbad I thought there was something wrong with the sound or something. I personally just don't think she's attractive enough, and her personality just doesn't fit for me. I just don't see her and Garfield working well on screen. But I've been wrong before.

Never seen her in anything, but just looking at her picture, I have the same issue with her that I did with Dunst: She's cute/pretty/whatever . . . but MJ is supposed to be runway model gorgeous, and I don't think she fits.

I'd rather have someone who's cute and a good actress (like Stone) than a drop dead gorgeous model that can't act to save her life. Of course Dunst was ugly and a bad actress, so whoever they get will almost certainly be better than her.
