I really hope Marvel gets Stegman tied up with an exclusivity deal. I'm really loving his work here.
Sad, that a great artist like Stegman is wasted on such a crappy concept.
I hate all this Hulk-Offspring.
I really dug most of the stuff I've seen from Lyra before. FVL's first miniseries was good, and her co-feature that FVL was writing was solid too.
That said, this doesn't sound remotely intriguing. Jen's bounty hunting days were forgettable at best. I'm not interested in seeing Lyra doing things that "normal teenage girls" do.
Anyway, I'm down for the first issue. I hope to be proven wrong.
READ SNARKED!
I hope Lyra doesn't take after She-Hulk and turn into a raging slut.
I love love LOVE Lyra after reading he adventure's during Fall of the Hulks, and I've always loved Jen, so I can't wait for this series.
My only thing is that I sincerely hope and pray that they put Lyra back into this costume:

I don't really have any plans to pick this up, even if it does look pretty solid, but, damn, that cover is just awesome!
Ryan Stegman is so awesome. He draws in the Ed McGuinness mold. Perfect for superhero comic books.
He draws superhero comic books the way they should be drawn.
None of that heavy shadowed, photo tracing, dark crime noir crap that has been creeping into both Marvel and DC's superhero comic books over the last 10 years or so. Those guys are needed, but they should be drawing for the Vertigo line for example, not superhero comic books.
I'm buying this comic book for the art alone.
No Jazinda?
I don't know what happened to her.
But I know that Peter David has a lousy track record when it comes to other writers using his creations.
Too bad: They are the ones I usually like most. (Linda Danvers, Empress, Jazinda, Arrowette)
Not buying it!
To those who claim that the general public thinks of Batgirl as Barbara Gordon, let me tell you:
The general public thinks of Batgirl as "just like Supergirl, only for Batman, right?"
A bit torn. I'm a fan of Jen's from Slott's run, but have no interest in Lyra (I lost track of Jen while she was in Loeb's hands, so am glad to hear her death was an LMD). I might pick up the first issue, but it'll probably depend how busy a week Nov. 3 is.
Nice art, I woud love to look into this to gain my She-Hulk fix.![]()
Is Thundra on earth 616? I think it's ridiculous that Lyra is sent to the current MU, and now we are stuck with her. What is with those man haters in the future? They just send her to do some mission, and then forget about her. And then she's supposed fall into some role as a normal teenager? She's lucky Jen is around to take her in.
I hope that Lyra's adapting to "normal" teenage life is minimal in this book, and that the focus is more on the super heroics, and Jen. With the occasional look into Lyra trying to fit in.
I've really grown to like Lyra, so I'll give this book a chance
