I read every one of these and when its all said and I done Joe Q comes across to me as someone who has complete contempt for the fans, at least those who post on the internet.
I also love how he admitted to a lie in the interview. After Peter first unmasked he was quoted as saying this was a genie that wasn't going to get put back in the bottle but now he admits that the plan all along had been to give him back his secret ID. So either he was lying then or he's lying now. Either way its par for the course for him.
please shut it down! ...also somebody should tell him he is not as clever as he think he is!![]()
She sings directly to the sheep, "Oh noble sheep, we eat your babies. We use your brain to fight off rabies, but the most beautiful gift you give us is wool."
...Dr. Strange has a secret identity?

best line ever...
Thanks Joe, craziness in T-Minus 3 seconds..... (see below)Kiel Phegley: One more question about OMIT, does this now close the book on Peter and MJ?
Joe Quesada: No, absolutely not! What we have now is MJ back in the cast fulltime as a significant part of Peter’s world. To me that’s a good thing. And by the way, while there are no immediate plans, (I mean this is Peter Parker, Spider-Man we’re talking about) no one’s life takes more twists and turns than Peter’s.
Who says that perhaps one day Peter and MJ may not find themselves trying it again?
Kiel Phegley: Are you saying - -
Joe Quesada: Shhhh, leave it be, Kiel. Let the Internet go crazy.
I do think that was probably the strongest part of OMIT when Pete grabbed MJ and made it so she would be the only person who remembered hes Spidey. I liked OMIT more than OMD as well, its not as bad as some make it out to be.
Thanks, Joe, for reminding me of one of my favorite exchanges from a 90s film.
Randal Graves: I don't appreciate your ruse, ma'am.
Indecisive Video Customer: I beg your pardon?
Randal Graves: Your ruse. Your cunning attempt to trick me.
Indecisive Video Customer: I was only pointing out that you weren't paying any attention to what I was saying.
Randal Graves: And I hope it feels good.
Indecisive Video Customer: You hope what feels good?
Randal Graves: I hope it feels so good to be right. There's nothing more exhilarating than pointing out the shortcomings of others, is there?
This just in: Chris Sprouse has pulled out of Orson Scott Card.
terrific job by CBR and Joe... these are definitive interviews! I say put them in the Spider-Man: One Moment in Time collections as the ultimate backup!!

I was fine, I was over it, and now . . .I'll give Joe credit, he keeps people stirred up on ASM. I think back to what Mark Cuban said several years ago when he said something to the effect of keeping something in the public's mind is advertisement, even if that something is negative.
OMG OMG OMG
PETER AND MJ BACK TOGETHER!!! YAaaaaaaayyyy!
Ok....I'm done now.

The Nefarious one...
to be fair the internet must be a small proportion of comic book buyers (after all if thousands of people post in spider-man forums and each issue of spiderma sells a million copies that's only one in a 1000... wait.... Spider-man isn't selling a million copies an issue is it? hmmm... maybe the comic-book posting internet only accounts for 1 in 100 of the readers).
I'm just amused by Quesada's whole "see mephisto wasn't involved" thing. I completely understand why JMS was so confused and pissed off by Quesda's "it's magic" attitude.
How did history get restarted?
What event prompted the change in history? it was time travel? it was revealing previously unknown facts? whatever it was it apparently wasn't the deal with "the devill" (Mephisto). Except for the fact that that is exactly what is must have been... Although hey, maybe I'm being the dumb one here and Quesada can explain it in basic english how this change in history (or continuity) happened. Dan Slott was able to give some plausible comicbook logic explanation for Harry Osborn still being alive; why can't Quesada do the same for the change in history?
Why "let the fans decide?"Kiel Phegley: So are you saying that not only did the deal now no longer happen, but Mephisto didn’t take their “True Love” for each other?
Joe Quesada: I’ll leave that up for the fans to decide. [Laughs] I have my own very strong thoughts about it and there is a line near the end in the fourth issue that might give everyone a clue, but let me leave it at that.
So you didn't write a story, then, you just thew some random filler for something you wanted to happen.
That right there shows that this was a tremendously long run-around for some simple thing. Most of this was no unnecessary it's not even funny.Kiel Phegley: One more question about OMIT, does this now close the book on Peter and MJ?
