Catherine Grant WAS on the show before. One or two seasons ago, the episode "Crossfire," Clark went on a date with her. She ended up hosting that Metropolis morning show.

I guess they are now saying "she wasn't THAT Cat Grant." Maybe she can buy a cemetary plot next to NotJimmy Olsen.
