Until now, I'm usually against deviating too much from the source material.
But in this case, specifically a certain betrayal and death... I'd be a-ok if they changed it.
Alex needs to die and betray them, he was kind of a douche.

And here I was hoping for an INcredibles/Fantastic Four crossover movie.![]()
If they don't change Alex story you'll never hear the end of it from the minority talking heads.
Why is it a dumb post? I think that there are some people who will be upset that the only black character on the team turns out betraying his friends and dies will take offense cause there is no good black role models in the story. If memory serves me right a faith was upset cause Brian Cox's character in X-Men 2 wore a ring that associated with their faith. Even though the character never eluded to being of that faith. Is my post that far off?
what? is he the first black character to end up being a bad guy? (to simplify what he did) nope. where were all the 'minority talking heads' when elba betrayed everyone in the losers? your statement is just another one of those 'those minority complainers' bs
if you can't see a difference between people being concerned about hollywood's tendency in the past (and the present) of having 2-d stereotypes vs a fully fleshed character, especially in the case of alex, a good character who leads/co-leads the team, and then betrays them, then it's on you.
those that are fans should be more concerned about the original casting call that didn't specify that nico was of japanese descent (the studio has since clarified that she will remain the same ethnicity). i'm also curious as to why the casting call stated that alex is need of a father figure. will they still have karolina come out?

Your reading too much into my post.
Shocker.
Can't wait to see what those giant Gibborim look like in CGI. I hope they stay true to the comic for this one. There's really no need to change it. The original miniseries works great as a feature film, and almost feels like it was designed like that.
If a Runaways movie gets into gear I can already see the fan outrage when an Asian isn't casted to play Nico.
