I'd prefer him to be a bit more assertive... like a Daken-type but sort of a brother to Conner. He'd come into town under pretenses of good, split the other teen heroes on him, but really he'd be in it for his own ambitions. A free agent. Occasionally they could meet on good terms, cementing the need for them to overcome the other when the time comes. Which is much like he was in the initial introduction. One other difference is that I do not want Match to be obsessed with Kon -- it should be the other way around. Kon will see it as his responsibility to control Match, but he cannot.

    TL;DR
    Basically I want this guy:

    With some Jason Todd added.

Edit: If I was EIC, the very first thing I'd do is make Titans East (tighten fists) a fever dream by Ravager or something. That arc, awful in itself, ruined so many things. Match, Cassandra Cain, Deathstroke.
I don't know, man. All the '90s teen heroes got made more like their mentors and predecessors, and many of the associated characters followed suit.

It's unfortunate, because they all used to be rather unique. But, thems the breaks.

Man, it's just so true. Every time I see Bart these days... I pretty much think it's Wally. He even looks identical to Wally nowadays. Cassie's personality has been absolutely abolished. And Tim...poor Tim.

(I hope the YJ cartoon leads to a return of Secret in the current DCU, love Secret.)

One of my favs too. Never thought I'd like Krypto, but I now I do!

What is this, Horseville? Because I'm surrounded by naysayers.

Love Krypto, hard to believe anyone ever disliked him. :)

So what do you guys think about the new Superboy book being based in Smallville? Lemire loves it, he's into the rural towns and stuff. Robinson made it work in the Blackest Night thingy. But is there going to be enough steam in Smallville to keep the constant jobs for Conner from feeling contrived?

I couldn't help but think during the preview in Action, I'm going to become very disinterested if I need to read about the week's latest threat to Smallville. Furthermore, I like my super supporting characters, not terribly into the normies. There isn't any reason to believe it's going to be like that though so I'll keep my mouth shut :P.

It would be awesome is Kon moved back to Hawaii, but at least for the time being, we'll be seeing some Americana. Anybody have any thoughts?

Well, I love dogs. But the idea of dogs with powers seems silly to me for some reason. But its really his relationship withe Superfamily, particularly Conner, that I understand and enjoy.

I'll give it a try, but Smallville never seemed to be the most exciting of locations in comics. I always figured that was why the Legion kept popping up back in the Silver Age. To keep the excitement level up.

The thing with Connor, and he's my favorite character, is that he represents me as a kid. When I was growing up I wanted to be Superman (probably like a lot of you). And here's a character is actually will be Superman one day, and has to learn from and look up to Superman along the way.

Not to mention the relationships he has with Cassie, Tim, and Bart. The writers have done a wonderful job with capturing what they all mean to each other. Especially in Adventure Comics and the early part of Red Robin.

I love what Johns has done with the character, except for killing him, but he brought him back so all is forgiven. He's just a normal kid now, who will one day be (maybe) the greatest hero of his generation.

Superboy and the Legion of Superheroes is a grand tradition in comicbooking!

Now, we all know how Teen Titans has been lately. And looky there... the new Legion series is looking better every month (and even better when Earth Man hopefully dies!) And Legion of Three Worlds was awesome! So, if I dare propose, why not have Conner join the Legion for reals?

If anybody would suit the Legion, it's Conner. He's an everyman figure, but he has the potential to be Superman. If that isn't what the LOSH is all about, I don't know what is. No teen character in DC today would better adapt to an intense technology driven age better then Kon. With an influence from 31st century fashion trends, maybe he can even get an actual costume!

Let me just leave this here. Not suggesting Kon dump Wonder Girl and go to XS (that hot, dynamic, awesome character with cartloads of potential), oh no .

Caveat: As long as it isn't done like the Fatal Five Hundred thing. Conner dressing up as young Clark? Acting appropriately??? What is this?!

With the YJ carton coming out, DC probably wants to keep Superboy with the Titans.

Even then, as great an idea as it is, I prefer Mon-El in the "Superboy" role for the Legion.

Considering Bart's life thus far, even more weirdness would hardly matter.

lol good point. I know this probably won't happen but he's got a wealth of cool supporting characters imo (superboy) that I kind of miss. WHatever did happen to Dubbilex though
