    Could be interesting.

But as others have pointed out, it's pretty similar to the Kasper Cole period on Priest's Panther run.

Wasn't 'tearing down T'Challa' the main character arc after he woke up from Doom's whupping until the ending of Doom War?

    Get a new trick already.

I'm willing to try it out.

A T'Challa who is going a bit more back to basics and hopefully isn't going to be someone's political soap box is a T'Challa I'd like to read.

I'm not sold on the idea of why him to replace Daredevil yet, but I like the general idea of some new characterisation for T'Challa and certainly don't feel ready to write it off before I've even seen issue 1, that thought process kills enough books already.

Err, T'Challa was introduced as the bad ass king of Wakanda who could whup the FF. The upcoming story arc isn't him getting back to basics, it's him falling past them.

I have to ask, what did you think of the 007 reimagining that was Casino Royale?? Did you think it was a fall off from his usual gadget, girls and martini SUPER exploits of the past??

I wonder if we will see the return of the Luke Charles identity.

Definitely getting this. I'm interested in seeing how this plays out and I'm just glad they aren't abandoning him all together in favor of Shuri. I do hope we run across Kasper Cole at some point though.

I wasn't too sure about this idea at first, but I'm warming up to it more and more.

I liked Liss' Daring Mystery one-shot from last year, and Francavilla's art definitely looks appealing. I'm willing to give it a look-see, at least for the first couple issues.

But really, anything not associated with Andy Diggle is a welcome relief. I made the mistake of jumping from trades to single with Diggle's run (which I quickly dropped), so I'm hoping to for once I'll be able to pick up the singles of this series and enjoy it.

In order to accomplish this, however, they had to sacrifice Wakanda's remaining Vibranium supply to ensure Doom's defeat. The circumstances of these events are what motivates T'Challa to go to Hell's Kitchen now, becoming it's new "Man Without Fear."
So he runs away to discover himself, avoiding his problems but trying to solve them at the same time. He isn't being torn down in this arc, he's trying to grow-up. Maybe he'll realize what a jerk he's always been. How cute. I like that he is pouting during this whole experience too by shoving people away, though Storm clearly sees through it and is just fleeing while she has a good excuse.

007 was always a spy, so Casino Royale kept to the character's main premise. I loved the movies, actually.

In contrast, T'Challa was introduced as the bad ass king of an advanced nation, one that Reed himself marveled at. T'Challa as protector of Hell's Kitchen does not keep to the character's main premise.

I have to ask, do you actually think about the examples you throw out?

Actually, Casino Royal was the first Bond story and was the way Bond was intended to be from the original novel. All that other fluff was divergent from the real Bond. So, just sayin', it wasn't a reimagining.

This may be my first Black Panther pull.
