Default CBR: Chaykin Follows Catwoman and Batman

Writer/artist Howard Chaykin creates an all-new one-shot teaming the Dark Knight detective and the on-again, off-again villainess in a chase after old-school villain the Cavalier in "Batman/Catwoman: Follow the Money."

I like Chaykin's work, but I don't know that his art works too well in straight-up costumed superhero stories. Then again, with his writing, odds are this won't be a straight-up superhero story. Still, I'll probably check it out.

Yeah, if he's both writing and drawing it, it's almost certainly going to be worth checking out, especially as the focus on the financial enterprises of Wayne Enterprises gives Chaykin something to sink his satirical teeth into.

Great to see Howard Chaykin back to Batman and nice to see Catwoman in this one. This looks like a fun one.

the plot seems intriguing enough; hoping it involves some byzantine financial scheme. haven't seen too many of those

has it been stated in canon whether Wayne Ent is a private or publicly held corp?

During the Under the Hood storyline, someone staged a hostile takeover of the company's R&D division and bought up all the shares right under Wayne's nose. So, apparently, public.

After reading the interview, I will purchase.
Glad that Howard will be treating The Cavalier with some respect.

Rereading this today and wishing more Batman comics were this tight, competent, and full of sensible characterizations all 'round.

I remember the dialogue being a little repetitive--"WE GET IT CHAYKIN. Both of them have grey areas. PLEASE MOVE ON."--but it was a nice enough one-shot. I may have to dig that one up and reread it.
