I can't imagine losing his Shinigami powers will hamstring Ichigo too badly. He is the protagonist so he'll power up to save the day, later on.

He will still have his Hollow powers, which while not as good as his current powers are still enough to leave him in the top tier.

Edit: I hadn't realized how big the blast Ichigo tanked last chapter was.

But Bleach is ending when this arc ends. Kubo said hes only doing two more arcs so this would technically be the end of Bleach once he beats Aizen.

I believe there's supposed to be one more arc after this. Considering this one has lasted, like, years there's still plenty more Bleach to come.

If Ichigo loses his Shingami powers he'll probably get them back somehow, or he'll just have to rely on his Hollow Powers entirely from now on. If he does finally defeat Aizen I wonder where the story will go from here.

Also I wonder when we're gonna get an update on the Yammy situation back in Hueco Mundo? I figured Kubo would wrap that up before having Ichigo and Aizen fight.

Yeah I've thought about that to, but I kinda of doubt Yammy would be the final big bad. Although I wouldn't be surprised if he some how makes it into the human world or the Soul Society and starts wreaking havoc.

The truth of the Yammy matter is that he can't actually move in his second transformation. His muscles are just too freaking huge. He's basically turned himself into a giant meat wall.

So there's no fight in Hueco Mundo anymore.

Kenpachi is too busy laughing his ass off at Yammy's expense.
Byakuya's frozen solid as his noble person his fighting it out with his instincts to follow Kenpachi's example.
Mayuri is occupied ordering Nemu around as she calmly cuts out chunks of Yammy's flesh.
