Actually no. As Nodt's gender hasn't been revealed yet. Even Bleach Wiki refers to As Nodt as "it."

From what I understand, in Japanese they rarely say "he" or "she," they say something like "that person" instead. If they don't know for sure English translators just assume that the character is male.

Japanese can refer to people with pronouns that have some level of gender identification, but it is not normal practice; enough so that my writing professor couldn't have his novel translated into Japanese because it involved gender confusion/twists with its pronouns. Pronouns in general aren't used in Japanese very much, and when they are a lot of them are gender neutral. It would depend on the exact one used.

Y'know what? I'm hoping that Komamura does defeat his opponent. That he got so powerful over the timeskip that he utterly destroys her, even without bankai or shikai. Smack her all around Seireitei even, leaving her a battered wreck.

And for the rest of the series everyone is all derisive of him for beating up on a weak girl (no matter how powerful she actually is), because Komamura is contractually forbidden from getting a break.

Namely the zanpakuto spirit is still there but Hyourinmaru was too traumatised by having part of his essence ripped away to reply or even hear Hitsugaya.

Like I said before, that doesn't make sense because the bankai isn't just a part of the zanpakutou, it's the full power of the zanpakutou unsealed.

Honestly I'm not looking forwards to that. We have enough good guys to root for as is, we don't need anymore.

You know, maybe it's just me, but I've considered the Zero Division bad news since we first heard of them; they just seem like a handy way to introducing a new team of extremely powerful antagonists for Ichigo to fight. Especially since Aizen implied there's something seriously off about the Spirit King. That would actually fit one of the themes of the manga, which is that Ichigo is not actually alligned to any faction and will oppose any authority that threatens his friends.

That's kinda what worries me about how this arc is set up: That maybe the Wandereich is just a big red herring Kubo is using to introduce Zero Division, who will then replace them as the main antagonists. That would explain why this whole invasion feels kinda rushed. I do hope I'm wrong, though.

What I'd like to see (and yes I know how unlikely it is), is the vice-captains and such picking up the slack and winning through brains and teamwork. Like when Hachi defeated Baraggan; Baraggan was more powerful, but Hachi used his head and figured out a way to beat him.

The vice-captains etc aren't as powerful, don't have bankai etc so they would need to outwit them. That's what I'd like.

I still find some dark humor into that when Shunsui himself pretty much states how screwed everyone (potentially since that'll mean the captains will have to rely on other means than bankai to win this) is by simply saying "Well, that sucks" when he got his eye shot out.

I don't mind this new look for Rangiku because she now has a long slit on her shinigami robe which lets her show an entire leg. Bare legs are always welcome in my book.

I'm with you that the zero squad are probably going to be bad bad people. However, I think that this will be more of a large scale villains vs. villains deal, or rather that neither side is good. Really hammer in the point about war making both sides being "just" and what not. Meanwhile Ichigo and those other four special weapons make up a third option kind of side.

Shunsui was only able to beat Starrk because he got in a sneak-attack stab through Starrk's chest because Starrk was distracted with blasting the hell out of two vizards.

When fighting all alone against resurreccion Starrk Shunsui was basically forced to run the fuck away.

My concern with Squad Zero is that this arch is going to get really bogged down with multiple factions fighting it out. We've seen that Kubo really isn't good in using a wide, and diverse cast like the one in Bleach. Hopefully I'm wrong because Bleach's been at it's strongest in a long time, but any moment, I'm waiting for Kubo to drop the ball.

I think they'll be mostly neutral...... in and of themselves.

I imagine a group of fiercely, fiercely loyal high-level soul reapers that serve the Spirit King. Basically, they will have only the King's interests at heart.


Which is part of why I think they will intervene here, because if anything is going to garner the Spirit King's interest.... it would be this. When they come I think there will be something about their methods that rings serious alarm bells among the protagonist. (Like... hacking through a captain to get at a Quincy.)

My thing is.... if the whole universal imbalance deal that the Qunicy bring to the table isn't enough to get the Spirit King's attention and by extension the Zero Division off the couch.... what will?

I don't mind the haircut because it's at least neck length. Anything neck length or over is golden IMO, including said length tied up in most fashions.

Well he did defeat Soi Fon's clone in the anime. That's impressive.

If the regei actually represented some kind of threag it wouls be, but I don't remember any of them ever winning a single fight even though they were supposed to be even more powerful than the originals. They were definately more fragile than a real captain,
