The Stern Ritter seem pretty powerful.

This guy is not Stern Ritter.

And he's picking a fighting with someone *stronger* than the Captains.

If his data only included that Ichigo was a special weapon and that his Bankai couldn't be stolen, then he was probably missing the critical need-to-know info of "he's like twice as strong as a normal captain, maybe more if he kept any of his dangai training."

But even the Stern Ritter seems to be scared of Bankai, that's why I said "hen their medallion trick fails...".


Also, it was bit vague due to (bad) german names but I think this chapter revealed a big weakness of super-quincies: they can either attack or defend but not at the same time.

We've yet to encounter a level of foe who has a reason to not be scared of Bankai. The Stern Ritter probably wouldn't shit their pants as much as Opie, but I'm sure they'd much rather face a gimped opponent than one with full strength and hidden weapons.

Their defense might be related to what Thorn-person was doing. Since both their strongest offense and defense probably rely on altering the Reishi they've started to take in/control, maybe they can only perform one kind of modification at a time. It's probably important for how the Captains might be able to win with only Shikai. Or even some lieutenants even.

Although they said the situation would get really bad in order for the royal guard to get involved, so I imagine a major solution and turn around is not coming soon.

Really? Short by usual standards or Bleach ones?

Because it had more panels, text and plot progression than usual Bleach chapter.

So, when their medallion trick fails, the super-quincies are about as effective as regular quincies. Meaning not very much.

Tell that to Shunsui, seeing as Commisioner Gordon Quincy shot his eye out. He didn't need the Bankai-Buster for that.

Well, some Bleach chapters feel shorter than others, even when they are fairly eventful. This one just seemed to go by very fast.

Also, it kinda feels like Kubo just skipped a fight that actually had quite a bit of buildup.

This is epic, love seeing the Quincy ravage the Soul Reapers. Quincy's don't play around like the Death Gods, they handle their business right away. Kind of wish this series focused more on the Quincy they seem way cooler than the Soul Reaper's and Soul Society

I am glad that Ichigo did not have any problems with the Quincy he was fighting against. After all the power ups it was good to see him owning an opponent.

He's been mopping the floor with everyone pretty consistently since he got his powers back, actually. Makes me wonder how long he can keep it up.

I hope as long as possible. Of course the main boss should be a challenge, but not the mooks he encounters on the way.

Well, I sorta doubt he's jut going to be plowing through the Sternritters without slowing down. And even if he does, I'm hoping he at least runs into trouble with the head Sternritter. (Whom I still believe is the bishounen dude who hangs around Emperor Manlybuckbeard.)

Not saying I want him to get his ass kicked. Just, you know, a very even and exciting fight, like the ones he had against Byakuya and Grimmjow.

The Emperor is obviously the Quincy equivalent of Yamamoto, so I doubt Ichigo gets to take him in an even fight. Anyway, it would be weird of the biggest threat is also the only threat.

Ichigo's supposed to be somewhat above your average captain by now and I'm guessing that without the bankai steal most of the Stern Ritter are around average captain level. So I wouldn't mind it if Ichigo could take on 2 or 3 of these guys and have it be an exciting fight.

Really show why these decided that Ichigo being unavailable was a good enough reason to move up their D-day to right now.

New chapter is out.

It's mostly of a power exposition in regards to the quincies abilities. The only thing we didn't really know squat about being the blut ability. We're also told that their are 16 captain level fighters in the Stern Ritter. That's kind of a lot, I wonder if Emperor Manlybeard is counted amongst them.

The Kirge manages to do something fairly effective as what will probably be he last action before dying.

Its a shame Kubo makes Chad so usless in these big moments. I would really like to see him do more.
