Yeah. We're following with continuity, so there are two Batmen and our story ties right into that. We're doing a lot of flashbacks like we did in "Heart of Hush," so you get stories from Bruce's family and the ties they have with Thomas Elliot's family.

So, um, what was that about Paul Dini missing deadlines again? Seems to me, I remember myself saying that last issue was mandated by the editorial office rather than Paul not getting his script due in time. Looks like they needed some time to make sure having two Batmen in a book would make sense.

    win.

Dustin Nguyen is a really inspiring artist.

He does so much work and just constantly kicks ass.

As an aspiring comic artist myself, Dustin's work ethic and constant quality output makes me work harder on my own stuff.

My girlfriend (who already draws comics for a living) actually took up water colors because she was so inspired by Dustin's amazing work.
She is a really amazing artist in her own right.

I get the feeling from the interview that Dustin will be doing Batgirl and Streets at the same time. I hope he can keep up with that kind of work load, but I also wonder based on Dustin's commitment to draw the series to its finish, if DC plans on ending Streets of Gotham any time soon.

Also, I wanna know if we'll ever get to see a full comic or GN featuring Dustin's watercolors. As much as I love the black and white pages that he and Derek produce, those water color covers are just amazing to see.

Yeah, I'm glad to hear that--kinda wish they said that sooner, but hey, what are ya gonna do.

I am a fan of Dustin's style and artwork. Best of luck to him on his new Batgirl gig.

When they announced he was the new Batgirl artist, I just assumed he was off SoG.
He must be pretty fast to draws to monthlies at the same time.

It seems that you were correct. Evidently Bruce's return has been pushed back a bit from what was originally intended. That's the only way this makes sense.

Yeah, you can't help but wonder if he didn't choose his words very carefully there. On the surface, it sounds like everything's cool and he'll be doing both for a long time. But if the book gets canceled soon, nothing he says here is contradicted. And one really wonders if he can do two ongoing titles at the same time over the long term.
