    Marvel Comics has released superstar artist Chris Bachalo's variant cover for "Amazing Spider-Man" #644, part three of Mark Waid and Paul Azaceta's "Origin of the Species" storyline.

    Nope. He did it for me all new. I asked most of the guys doing variants for this to pull from their favorite Spidey moments they were a part of over the past 3 years.

    Sounds cool. Does this mean we will get a variant from all the other artist who have been on the book?

    bachalo and townsend never fail to impress, beautiful art. not a fan of variants, but this is one i will make an effort to find.

    I was never a big fan of Bachalo's artwork, but I have to say that his work has slowly grown on me in a positive way.

    hey wacker. any sign of any upcoming bachalo spidey work? obviously he won't be on asm now, but any chance for him with spidey on any other books?

    shed was my favorite art in a comic book in recent memory

    Stephen Can't you get Bachalo to be the regular artist for Spidey?

    Bachalo is amazing as a Spidey artist....when he is not rushed, give him a few months lead time and he could produce some truly epic pages. But it seems the end of 'Shed' had a rather rushed look to it, and another artist doing work on the story. I know some artist are slower than others. Now le's see the variants for #645,646 & 647!!!
