How many issues is this supposed to run?
On another note though, as generally compelled by Millar's ideas that i typically am, i can't help but feel that he rarely delivers on the promise of his ideas.
Every man is guilty of the good he did not do.
Well it at least sounds like it will have less gratuitous violence then Nemesis and Kick-Ass.
So since this is Captain Marvel/Superman, will Millar's next original new idea be a Wonder Woman rip off? Or will he go towards Green Lantern or finally do the Flash rip off Run?

While I wasn't a fan of NEMESIS, I did and do love KICK ASS, so I'll definitely check this out.
noh-varr: interesting. I'd love to see Millar take on the Wonder Woman icon...that could be interesting.

I ain't no hot dog, yo.
I'm probably going to wait for the inevitable trade but I'm a fan of both Millar and Yu so it's going to be a hard wait. I hope it won't have too much shock-for-the-sake-of-shock and that it actually tells a great story. Not to say that Millar doesn't write great stories from time to time, but I'd like to see a story that stands strongly on its own without the crutches of hyper-violence or profanity.
Action, Animal Man, Aquaman, Batman + Incorporated + B&R, Dial H, Earth 2, Flash, Frankenstein, GL + GLC, Justice League, Swamp Thing, Wonder Woman
The Boys
The concept alone could give Millar an Eisner. If he exectues it to his fullest writing ability I have no doubt he will get one--or at least be nominated.

Mark Millar hasn't impressed me much since The Ultimates, which is unfortunate. It's all felt too gratuitous, but I've always admired his sense of charity and the way he describes this book it's convincing me to give it a shot. I, too, like Superman for the same reasons some people are turned off by him.
I think I'll give this book a shot. The Yu artwork doesn't hurt.
This sounds good and I'm a huge fan of Yu's artwork. Might not wait for the trade on this one.
I definatly want to pick this up but the question is do I buy the icon version or wait for the inevitable CLiNT reprint with lovely oversized version of Yus art?![]()
We hate Millwall, and we hate Millwall.....
Bring back Dai Thomas
I'm not much of a Millar fan due to his over-reliance on violence and profanity. Nor am I a fan of Superman but I like the concept of taking the Superman mythos and making it relatable to to people. So I'll check out the first couple of issues to see where it goes.
Good interview. I will give this a shot. Millar can put out some pretty entertaining stuff when he is on, and he nailed Red Son...so I have high hopes here and the artwork looks terrific.
Sounds like the type of Superman book I can sink my teeth into.
Batman, GL, Miss Fury, Uncanny X-Men, Hypernaturals, Witch Doctor, Casanova, Green Arrow, COPRA. +A bunch of trades every month.
As with most of Millar's creator owned work, it's probably in my best interest to just wait for the collection.
So far Kick-Ass has been among his best most recent entry into the creator owned stuff but outside of that I haven't been too impressed by either his Ultimate work or Nemesis. I hope this title offers more is better written and at least comes out in a more timely fashion. I can't imagine Nemesis still having a whole lot of traction these days due to the delays but apparently it still does pretty decently in sales.
Millar is such a GREAT writer. He says so himself.

"You can't trust them as poets either. The true poet is anonymous, as to his habits, but these boys have to look, act, and apparently smell like poets"
Flannery O'Connor on the beats.
I'll give it a shot--I mean, it can't be any worse than Nemesis, right?
