Sooo has any1 chekd-out d link yet...thought we could talk about sum of his feats, compare it 2 d cartoon and wat we expect r within Static's capabilities.

Static is awesome, kinda upset he didn't appear in young justice, Static in the cartoon was crazy, one of my favorite shows.

Static/Virgil Hawkings has now lost a 'father' and in honor of d Maestro hopefully Static and other Milestone xcters will b given d ultimate attention and deserved respect perfectly suitable 2 a self-made legend.....Dwayne McDuffie.

Static, Xombi and d Milestone Universe shed tears eternally.

McDuffie....u sure "PUT D SHOCK IN2 D SYSTEM"- hell, in2 all our systems & Virgil will 4ever keep d spark bright as ur legacy thru such xcters u created will continue unended.

Those were some really impressive feats displayed in that link. I really hope that the upcoming series can live up to and surpass its predecessor in terms of both sales and quality.

Static is one of my favorite heroes so I'm really pushing for him to be successful. With both he and Superboy (another favorite of mine) both having their own series out, and with their previous experience as teammates, I really hope to see a cross-over between them. I liked their interaction during the World's Collide crossover from the 90's which had them be friendly rivals that eventually become friends. I think that the personalities of the two of them can make for great stories and it would be cool to establish them as good friends.

I also want to see Static met up with new Aqualad. I could see Static cracking jokes on Jackson for being a rip-off of him withe dreads and the electrical powers. It would all be in fun of course as I think the two of them would be cool with one another.

Although, the fact that Aqualad has electrical powers if kinda upsetting to me because I feel that it would almost be redundant to have them both be on the same team. I'm not saying it can't happen, but with Static there, Aqualad would never have to use his electrical powers lol

Yeah...but it would enable d writer 2 develop d use of Aqualad's H20 manipulation skills more creatively especially when engaged in a battle on land. We would really like 4 Aqualad 2 b able d manipulate any kind, form and/or type of liquid not simply just water.

Static can b shown teaching Aqualad how 2 use his electricity based powers and we can b shown d limit of Aqualad's electricity where Static is gr8 4instance showing dat Static can generate several 1,000x more voltage dan Aqualad's utimate limit.(afterall electricity is 2 Static wat Water is 2 Aqualad).

Ditto....how 'bout Static, Superboy & BB being d core cast of a 6-8 issue mini?

Dat would b kool, hopefully we will get 2 c more of d interactions and friendships/frenemy relationships develop between dem on panel....TT, JS, Static's ongoing or BB's ongoing or elsewhere.

Perhaps the person who can best sum up the life and impact of Dwayne McDuffie is the man himself. In “Icon” issue three, penned by the late writer, Icon addresses a crowd thusly:

"As many of you have already witnessed, I am gifted with certain special abilities. I have possessed these gifts for many years but for the most part have refrained from using them.

“No more.

“Today I set a challenge for myself, a challenge to be of service to humanity. I will do this by being a living example of what's possible. I intend to hold myself to a very high standard. I ask no less of you. I challenge you to challenge yourselves. You are all gifted with special abilities. Strive to live up to your potential, as I will strive to live up to mine. I can fly -- so can you!"

Dwayne McDuffie is survived by his wife, Charlotte, his mother, Edna McDuffie-Gardner, and all his loving, grateful fans.

Hopefully Maestro's colleagues and DC could do a tribute 'Shadowland' kinda arc in honor of McDuffie/Maestro focused on all Milestone xcters & DC xcters he/Maestro contributed gr8ly 2.

Perhaps Marvel could also do d same thing using Marvel xcters McDuffie has worked on in his career.

Hmm, Static and Superboy is good so is Static and Aqualad. I think Blue Beetle and Static would make a good team up to. Also Maybe a Xombi team up, a milestone reunites thing would be nice.

he might show up and depending on how long the show lasts they will probably shuffle up the main cast.

I'm trying to read through the Static comic for the first time and i can't get past issue 2.

Not because it's bad, but because I downloaded the issues to my smartphone and reading comics that way is annoying. Think I'll have to order the trade soon.

I think a YL/Dakota-Verse x-over episode would be cool. Make it a multi-part episode too.
