Its new. I won't spoil it. You should pick the issue to find out. He's always had a sister, but in the first issue, Virgil alluded to something not being right in regards to his sister. Than in issue 2, we find out what's going on/what the problem, but we don't know why or how it happened yet.

I read the issue, but since I didn't read his older series I have no clue what's brand new and what's coming over from the Milestone books.

In the original series/continuity, he had exactly one hopelessly annoying but utterly ordinary sister named Sharon.

For some ludicrous reason, I consider myself kind of an expert on the original series continuity, up to a certain point..issue #16 or so...

I wouldn't call her hopelessly annoying but I'm an older sister. I give my younger siblings as much grief as I can. It's a part of the privilege of being born first. Her antics just made me laugh. But two will most definitely dive Virgil nuts.

I'm a firstborn myself, so the positions in my own family were reversed genderwise, BUT Virgil and Sharon's interactions in the original series were indeed swamped with verisimilitude...the research I've seen suggests it's nearly inevitable anytime siblings are within 3-5 years of each other in age regardless of which gender came out first... ;)

Imo the best Sharon we've seen was in the cartoon. She was a more flushed out character there.

Love Static's new power and hope he finds other things he can do to distinguish him from being other than just another electrical brother.

Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking.

Gotta love those Wizard of Oz quotes

Outside of what Mr. Washington already said, the only difference is the move to New York.

46 if Wikipedia is to believed. But I don't think age has anything to do with it, it's his lack of writing experience. Dialogue was Tony Daniels' biggest issue when he first started writing Batman. Same thing with Felicia Henderson when she was writing Teen Titans.

Oh, okay, I was kind of wondering why there were two of Static's sister. So that's not a carry-over from Milestone. It was handled a bit odd, but a good issue altogether.

I was just thinking that myself. I really hoped that it was a carry over from an older story that was never resolved. I've seen similar stories in the past, but I've never seen a writer drop us into the middle of the story. I know the sisters are not the focus of the book nor is their story a primary plot line at the moment, but it just feels odd for them to have started the book with two rather then start with one and introduce the second in a year or so. I don't want the plot explained right away but it feels like I'm jumping into the middle and I'd think that would be counter productive to the point of the relaunch.

    Great issue in my opinion.

I didn't realize how old Static was, I thought that he was in eight grade or freshman year.

He already is distinguished. People sometimes have the assumption Static just shoots electricity. Static's powers center around electromagnetism

And honestly DC needs to collaborate with Milestone and give Static a videogame. Look how well recieved Infamous was, and Static is a much better character imo. Infamous was a decent game, but overall I thought the plot was bunk. All DC needs to do is update the Infamous model in some areas and incorporate a next generation hovering system and we've got a solid videogame.

I mean Batman is great, and we know DC will keep putting out games with him, but why not try to put out more games with different heroes. It works well for marvel. And Static's already proven he is a success with his original comic and award winning 4 season cartoon.

It boggles my mind why Marvel and DC haven't tried to make videogames about more characters.

I don't think they would ever do that but it would be nice to get a game where u can play as teen heroes from DC. An rpg.

Static, Blue Beetle, Aqualad, Red Robin, Superboy, Kid Flash
    Some Girls could be awesome.

Well making high quality games is not easy or cheap and DC is not a video game developing company. They would have to find a talented developer that is willing to make a game about one of their franchises and most of the talented developers are busy with their own ideas. That's why most of the best games are original properties and not based on outside media (most games based on movies, t.v. shows, and other media wind up sucking). The newest Batman games are an exception to the rule.
