There's a 2011 Static cartoon planned? Cool; I hadn't heard that.

If only that were true.

It be nice if we could get some artwork or something to hold us over til this book drops. Or maybe some insight as to what the direction is on this title. How about building up some anticipation, DC?

If it's the same writer I'm thinking of, I have the first issue of TT he did and it wasn't that good but he got Static right. And guess who saved the whole team? *obviously you know who

Nope. That's Sean McKeever.

It's the writer who came after, Felicia Henderson, that's writing the new Static book.

hopefull this new series will show vergils eventual realationship to frieda since they are married in milestone forever and since she knows hes static and that they have a had a thing for each other since forever

I liked how Static was never exactly with girls in the AS but it'd be a cool buildup in the comics. Maybe like Lois and Clark in Smallville; a heck of a long time but with a ton of hits at it beforehand.

i see what your saying but i disagree on smallville it was basically him and lana in the first 7 years with him looking out for her then in season 8 they build the tension and finally last year make them a full blown couple which was good and she knows his secret

Do you guys have anything to say about all the future Static appearences? I love em all. Especially the one in JLU. And I think the other original heroes in SS were brilliant such as Soul Power and Spider!

He had two regular love interest on that show who hung out with him and Richie.

Well, I think Daisy, they toyed with the idea of them having feelings. It was never a focal point, but I believe it was hinted. It was even hinted at when you meet Daisy's mom when she meets Virgil.

I may be getting confused about Frieda as I know in the books she played a big part as his love interest and they eventually get married and have kids.

Yeah, Daisy dated Virgil (and they never got intimate) til she got fed up with his disappearing all the time. Dusk flirted with Static while crime-fighting together. And Frieda was his best friend that knew his secret.
