Default CBR: CHEW ON THIS: Ken Leung & Fricken

Our monthly column with "Chew" writer John Layman continues as we discuss "Chew" #13, the book's Eisner victory, the developing television adaptation and the hilariously gross concept of fricken, or chog, if you prefer.

The comic Chew is entirely derivative of Ken Leung's character on the TV show Lost. It's only slightly skewed and Layman watched it and got the idea to make a series about that character with a funny twist. It's embarrasing that it's not even remotely original and they based it off Ken Leung from the get go to pander for him to do it. Then later on Lost Ken Leung played a cop on lost where art imitates art. It would be weird for him to play the same character twice and especially for Ken Leung to play such a rip off of his previous role on Lost.

ABC could easily file a cease and desist or a law suit against them if it did get into production which would be a wise move and say that it's derived from his character on the show Lost and they'd have a slam dunk case on their hands.

Spawnfan, you dumb shit, CHEW was in motion and development long before Ken Leung had started Lost in Season Four. Get your facts straight.

What a bizarre comment, filled with paranoid speculation.

Oh, and GOD FORBID an actor could portray a similar character in two different things, it's unheard of.

On topic: Chew is totally awesome. The Chogs look amazing. Rob can do no wrong in my mind.
