Ehhhhh... I like the members of the team individually.. but all of them on a team is kind of "meh."
In the similar article at newsarama it mentions a diety from Africa. Add that to the cover image and I would assume the Panther God makes an appearance.
You now, between this book and New Avengers, I think I am finally getting my Defenders fix!
I wouldn't mind seeing the God Squad continue in some fashion to deal with wierd universal threats (mystic or cosmic) a la the original Defenders. If they rotated the line-up with this group, Thor, Herc, Cho, Snowbird, and maybe other Eternals like Ikaris, the book would be pretty cool. They could always add avatars like Black Panther and Moon Knight too depending on the threat.
VALIANT, Saga, Manhattan Projects, Locke & Key, Hawkeye, Young Avengers.
Can't wait to see Daimon arguing with Galactus while Silver Surfer tries to separate them.
I know Kevin Nichols through a guy that knows a gal. Small world!

The Kami? I love those guys!
Izanagi has been playing a small, supporting role in Prince of Power, but I hope to see some of the guys introduced in Oeming's Ares mini-series, such as Inari and Bishamon!
These "Chaos War" tie-in annoucements keep getting better and better!
Also, from the Newsarama interview . . .
Yup, sounds like Bast the Panther God!We'll also see an army of enslaved alien gods, a horde of hellish beasts, a familiar (and furry) Marvel deity from deep in the African continent, and even a big, hungry guest star who is closely linked to one of our Squad members ...
Yes they do! This is sounds like it's going to be an actual entertaining EVENT.
Sounds good. I'm looking forward to reading about these characters. Especially Sersi. I need more Sersi in my life.![]()
