I went to 5 comic shops in my city and couldn't find a spare copy of AA # 30. I only found back issues in one shop. What is going on with Gages stuff? Are the mix of X-kids and AA students that popular?

AA #30 was short shipped. I had trouble finding it in the UK.

That I don't know. I'm only going on the info I got from the manager of my preferred LCS, corroborated with an old friend who runs an LCS in another city.

I didn't hear anything about shortages here, but the two that all three of my LCSs were sold out of (AA 29 and WATXM 9) were recently available at one of them. They had one copy of AA 29 and a copy of WATXM 9 with "second printing variant" on it, so they did have to, at least for WATXM, do a second printing. Not sure where that copy of AA 29 materialized from after all this time if there WASN'T a second printing, lolz.

The point is, LCSs clearly under-supplied the less popular comics for AvX, not realizing the power of that crossover.

I hope shortages don't affect AA 29/AA 30/AA 31 sold statistics... I want AA to have the best possible showing during the crossover! (And in general, too, of course, lol).

Sucks to hear about the short shipping. Although I am glad I remembered to put AA on my pull list the last time I was in my comic book shop. Especially as it is far enough away I can only justify going in once a month to pick up comics.

I just started reading Academy. I was wondering, if Thunderbolts has become Dark Avengers, will Academy undergo a similar name change or story direction soon too?

IMO, maybe depends on what happens during the Upcoming Final Exam Arc. They could fall to the darkside en masse though.
