Re: X-23 siding with the Avengers, Penance siding with the X-Men:

Maybe we could finally see X-23 vs. Penance. :) Both are agile, smart fighters, though Laura's got the advantage in being a trained assassin. Would be nice if Penance's hide was stronger than adamantium (it's never been specifically tested, but she cut through an omnium alloy like butter) to compensate for that. Although, this isn't an M-rated comic, so it probably wouldn't be anything more than them slashing at each other, lol. But still.

Could definitely be a plot, considering Cassie was totally stalking, err, watching Johnny from a distance in The Loners' mini. Maybe a love triangle between him, Julie, and Cassie. Cebulski wanted to acknowledge Dusk more, but he had the unfortunate timing of using her the same month she showed up in the Ms. Marvel title as a brainwashed puppet. No one bothered to tell him that was going to happen. He said for continuity's sake that her appearance, such as it was, in The Loners was before her appearance in Ms. Marvel. But you're a fan, so you probably already know all that, lol.

Yep, Pietro is inflammatory and deliberately provocative, especially if the subject has anything to do with his father. Anyone taking his words as the writer's own view or even an official Avengers standpoint is being a little naive or wilfully ignorant.

So true, but let's face it, Pietro is that guy that we all love BECAUSE he's so inflammatory and provocative. I'm so glad Pietro has a place to call his own and shine every month! He's up there in Namor category of a jerk that we love to read about. I think John Walker (former US Agent) is in the same category, too, although not everyone will agree with me...
