Ugh, Patriot would be a terrible mentor. I do think that him hanging up his mask and going to make a normal life for himself was the best character development he had.

All the AA mentors have issues, though. He's probably only the 4rd most unstable person they've hired. And maybe being given legit responsibility in a less-stress-filled job would help him. Retiring him is a total waste.

the Academy is as much about redeeming the instructors as it is the students.

Am i the only one thinking that the location 375 miles from San Francisco that Scarlet Witch was hiding with Pietro is the Academy?

I disagree. Bringing him out of retirement cheapens the events that put him there. He is, essentially, the cause of AvX.

I disagree. Bringing him out of retirement cheapens the events that put him there. He is, essentially, the cause of AvX.

I wouldn't say that... he made an honest mistake. At least as much as Scott did in not letting Wanda do her thing in peace in the first place, or Quicksilver did in starting HoM in the first place... or Magneto did in pissing her off, which caused decimation...

I'm surprised she's crashing at her brother's post that "I'm not a sister/wife/daughter anymore" speech... but she's not a plague carrier. She'd be at the mansion if it weren't for Vision. Why would Pym care if she's there? He invited Magneto to visit, he clearly has no fear of the Maximoff Drama Machine.

Oh I think Pym would invite her there with open arms. and going to the West Coast compound after vision basically said she wasn't wanted at the Mansion makes sense. I am just curious as to wether or not she got there, Pym said.. yes of course Wanda you can stay here. Or if Quicksilver let her crash with him and they have not told Pym yet. As she might be 'hiding'. As we've seen no indication that the other avengers actually know her whereabouts yet.

By the way, Vision is not emperor of Avengers mansion, anyone else expecting one or more of the other Avengers to tell him to back off in that scene?

Not really....especially that when you consider that prior to "No more Mutants"; she (subconsciously) been unleashing her Hex powers on some of their teammates and other members during the AVENGERS DISASSEMBLED Storyline. And AvX #0 basically shown the reactions of those who (more or less) agreed with the Vision.

I really didn't understand that at the time. Luke Cage owns that place, it's the base of the New Avengers surely one of them should have pute Vision in his place. Seems like after Avengers Tower went down Starks reclaimed the Mansion.

I thought the scene was really uncomfortable... but I wasn't expecting anyone to defend her, just because there's no good way to tell someone to suck up having been murdered. I think everyone was surprised to see her and not sure what to feel. Tony (one of the people she screwed) clearly wouldn't have said anything against her...

About Quicksilver just never telling anyone... it's an interesting idea but I think it'd be kind of hard... you'd think someone would notice, what with the cameras and super-smell and all... I can see him trying, and then as soon as someone tells Hawkeye he's like "why are you keeping your sister in your bedroom you creep??" and then she just moves in normally. In fact I would love to see that scene.

Yeah, so why is it a bad thing that they're bringing them to a safe place from the battle instead of having potential enemies?

Becasue there is no reason that those kids would stay out fof the fight without being held by force or restrained in some way, and the restraints would have to be very substantial. they consider themselves soldier and their friends and for some the closest thing to family they have are being attacked.

If you don't read the X-men yuo might not know that those kids are experienced combatants and at least One, is both a deadly and experienced killer. Anyone locking Dust up should ensure that hey are armored at ALL times since she is likely to treat them like she treated the Taliban and the Purifiers, leaving bare bones on the ground. Kills who stood up to hell lords are very unlikely to be intimidated by Tigra and company

Sorry I wasn't making a point about the Avengers being there, it was more them calling the shots while they're guests.

In reply to this, and the other posts, there is something to be said about them being in shock more or less, but many of them don't hold a grudge anymore. But it was VERY uncomfortable. Perhaps on purpose, it would be uncomfortable. Still with the egos involved its hard to imagine none of the guys said anything. Even if they agreed with Vision. That was the odd part, no one else seemed to disagree but the two girls with Scarlet Witch.

Perhaps it caused a larger conversation we just didn't see though.

As for sneaking her around? Yeah probably not. Though its a big compound, I imagine Quicksilvers not exactly living in a dormitory with the students or anything. Maybe Pym knows but he hasn't acknowledged it? How would the students feel about it? Well They might not actually know she caused M-Day, the Young Avengers didn't know until very recently. Eitherway it feels like its not common knowledge among the super hero community that shes there. I'd love to see her popping up or mentioned in the upcoming Avengers Academy issues.

Technically Luke and Jessica own the Mansion. With several of the more lighthearted NA scenes dealing with the fact that despite owning it it felt more like it belonged to the community.
