'If you meet a loner, no matter what they tell you, its not because they enjoy solitude. It's because they have tried to blend into the world before, and people continue to disappoint them'
I doubt Walker will stay.
He is getting more and more praise, so Marvel will probably move him to one of the iconic series, while AA will get a mix of "mediocre", "very good but not popular" and "sort of good" artists.
At least that's what they often do with the "little" series.
Unless, of course, they decided that getting rid of D to Z list characters is important enough to deserve permanently a top artist. Which would not surprise me so much at this point.
Me: Please Marvel, give some spotlight to your 21th century creations instead of killing them every month.
Marvel: Avengers Arena, lol!
Classy as always, Marvel.
It's an "Ongoing" with a set end like Avengers: The Initiative was.
That got 35 issues with 3 extra issues (Annuals, Specials, etc). If the (remaining) combatants all get at least one focus issue, that's another 14 issues at minimum, and it's likely the remaining ones will have more than one. It may last that long, but the question becomes, aside from escape attempts, fights and betrayals, there's only so much that can be done before the inevitable behind-the-scenes issue occurs and the final arc kicks off.
"Curse you, Occam's Razor! You have betrayed me!"
Reviewing is a lot like paleontology: the evidence is there, but no one seems to agree on it.
I really really hope Runaways and AA kids become allias. I love them all and don't want to see them fighting!
No Kev Walker in this issue?
Squad Name: Star Indigo Nightmare
Squad Level: 42 (just started playing)
Marvel Heroes - Closed Beta Tester
Avengers Alliance - Level 91
Favourite Title: Avengers Arena
Oh great, Hazmat is now the villain, and now Hopeless forgot that the Academy kids met the Runaways. WHATEVER!

Where do you get that she is being made a villain from the picture posted?![]()
I can see it to degrees, but it's not a guarantee.
That said, where is Hazmat's helmet crack? Did it get really, really small or something?

Panel 4.
She's smiling. She just lost her boyfriend, and she's smiling as she's taking apart a tree.
She's lost it, she's nuts, she's now the bully of Arena, and now she's the villain. They're going to make her a bitch, and they're going to reward the fans who hate her because of her being a bitch by killing her on Day 29 from X-23. Just you watch.
God, I HATE THIS! JUST HATE IT!
You're stretching it a tad. She's smirking as part of a bluff, a clear bluff. She's basically doing a "You don't want to mess with me, I'm dangerous enough already and a little nuts because of what's happened. I don't want to, but I will and it will hurt."
It's page 17 of issue 4. I honestly doubt that's the direction their going with. It could build up into a "No, I can't deliberately kill someone even after all that" scene.
Though, sadly, you may be right as a true Atop the Fourth Wall Nightmare scenario.
Edited to add: And look, Nico has her old staff. Did not Do the Research much?

You put too much faith in this. You're just making stuff up to suit your internal fantasies, now. It's getting really tiresome, hon.
As you've said, you're not going to read this, so just step back and don't get yourself worked up over the previews, perhaps?
They made Hazmat the original POV to show how she went from Happy to mean girl. She's now bought into Arcade's game and is smiling maniacally as she's burning a tree! She's not going to stop her, she's going to bully and probably kill many other kids, probably Deathlockette or her friend too, and then she'll be killed by X-23 and the fans will cheer.
It's very obvious!
You can say it's deeper than this, but I've seen how this goes down many other times in story telling. Hazmat is now the bully of Arena! GOD!
You'll all see when this books ends. Hazmat will be known as the terrible monster who X-23 fans will think deserves her gutting.
