    This sounds great!

A little disappointed that Talisman won't be in this. But at least this explains why Snowbird isn't on the God Squad in Chaos War.

I wonder if some of these people who are being resurrected will stick around.

I don't know how I feel about that to be honest.

There are several members of Alpha I wouldn't mind returning... but wholesale ressurection seems cheap to me.

I know everyone that was killed in recent years coming back to life at the end of Darkest Night left a bad taste in my mouth. It just seems kind of cheap.

I really liked that red and white costume and that crown she had in that Dark X-men mini.

But I guess Alpha Flight only has room for Guardian in that regard.

According to the solicits, it looks like Puck is coming back In Wolverine 3. I think I will pick this up just because I live McCann's writing.

Very interested. True I'm not in love with the original line up but I'm interested enough in this.

I don't mean to sound offensive to Canadians... but if you're Canadian in fictional media you're going to be the butt of jokes. I don't know why that's the case, but for whatever reason it just is.

If you watch South Park, How I Met Your Mother, and occasionally pro-wrestling you'll know what I mean.

So a Canadian superhero team will likely always have that problem.

I've not even read the story yet, but YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!

OK, Jim, next on the list of favorite properties of mine that you're fixing is New Warriors, please.

    Oh, and no Ronin!

OK, edited now that I've read the article:
Disappointed Puck won't be front and center, but I'll wait and see why. Also disappointed that this is being dubbed a resurrection. That off-panel killing was yet another utter failure of Bendis' writing and editing and I don't understand why it's being kept around, when the real Alpha Flight was off-world in space.

Also really bummed it's only a one-shot. It sounds like it's a seriously packed story, so despite my disdain for decompression I hope there's enough room to get everything Jim's talking about in it and giving it time for characterization, etc.

But hopefully it will lead to more. Must remember to order it tomorrow at the LCS. Maybe make this a rare two-copy order. Finally, it's the core Alpha Flight team back. I don't totally agree with Jim that it needs to be the original Byrne cast, but the bulk of the roster does need to be from v.1 (personally, I want Manikin and Persuasion involved in any future stories). Having just one (v.3, which also treated the characters like a joke) or two (v.2, which also had godawful art and some of the most unlikeable new characters ever) of the original Alphans is not enough.

Jim McCann's Dazzler one shot was a triumph of comic book writing, honoring virtually every facet of her previous continuity, while at the same time, recognizing in the here and now, there was a moment for the character to come into their own by battling not just an external foe in her sister, but the truths she was running away from.

Alpha Flight offers him so, so much raw potential for another great story, and to all its fans... this is the guy you want giving them their due. There are few writers I'd trust to cater to your nostalgia, and give a great in depth character story with action at the same time.

    I'm in.
