Famed character actor Oliver Platt has signed on for a role as the mysterious "Man In Black" in Matthew Vaughn's X-Men prequel film along with actors set to be Moira MacTaggart and Azazel - the demon father of Nightcrawler.

Hellfire Club?
I can't remember his name, but one of the original "lords" of the Hellfire Club was a large dude who could make his body more dense. Perhaps Oliver Platt is playing that character, while Kevin Bacon is Sebastian Shaw.

I don't know what to make of the whole thing really. Some of the characters make sense from an early years perspective, but the inclusion of Azazel is baffling especially since Mystique's role as Nightcrawler's mother has not been established in the movies.

Harry Leland could alter density of the objects around himself including people. But could not alter his own density.
Sebastion Shaw enhanced his physical strenght by absorbing kinectic energy.
