Im gonna go with the obvious non-Mephisto approach, Lady is about to call the cops because shes figured out where shes seen peter. Cops will show and take may because peter will grab mj and run. This will set up the need for the mind wipe. (basically going with the lady in red in OMIT is too obvious and thus is a red herring.)

She could still be Mephisto. Remember, part of the deal is that Mephisto restore Peter's secret identity. This would be one way to make it happen.

To be fair, though, it is kind of true. After all, it was Peter and MJ's love for Aunt May that convinced them to make the deal that set into motion the events that allowed Mephisto to save her, so technically, it was love that saved her.

without digging my Back in Black comics out and rereading them I can't say. I will say I trust Shaggy's opinion. If he says the gunshot wound wasn't the issue but the trama afterwards...i would bet he is right.

I also agree with you that magic love CPR is retarded (at least I think that is what you are saying).

I also think SW was misleading when he said mephisto didn't have anything to do with it. Maybe not to let the cat out of the bag for sales?

At any case Love CPR doesn't ruin the book for me... I will wait to see how the issue ends. At this moment I still can't see how that red headed nurse is NOT Mephisto.

Love makes sense if you believe in out of body experiences and you read the sensational book that May asks peter to let her go because she is ready to die.

Even if the CPR jolted her heart and restored oxygen to her brain, it would not allow her to "make a full recovery." And at the very least, she would have some brain damage due to how long she was without sufficient oxygen to her brain.

The CPR would have, at best, put her back in the state she was in just before she went into cardiac arrest.

Peter does not. We are up in the air on MJ.... she appears not to in some panels and if you read her words looking for her to know... in some she sounds like she does.

Im thinking "she doesnt". But a case can still be made for "she does", as the door isnt completely shut yet.

Well she's the main one that makes me suspicious. It's not something that I'm looking for, but it just seems like there is something else there.

I dont know about you but ive watched several of those medical miracle shows (Discovery Health tends to show them) were a person whom should have brain damage from a comma is just fine and makes the "full recovery". Its not so far fetched that it never happens... likewise this is a comic. If it can happen in the real world from time to time, it can happen in a comic.
