The Doctor's explanation for something that's bothered a lot of readers here is interesting.
Quesada addresses one of the elephants in the room.
i think more people will look at the lady in the red scrubs and yell mephisto.... clearly shes going to do something....
Im gonna go with the obvious non-Mephisto approach, Lady is about to call the cops because shes figured out where shes seen peter. Cops will show and take may because peter will grab mj and run. This will set up the need for the mind wipe. (basically going with the lady in red in OMIT is too obvious and thus is a red herring.)
Yeah that's Mephisto alright.
"With Great Power...Comes Great Responsibility."
"I've never asked for much. Like everyone else, I know the odds are always against us. That's just the way the universe works. I don't want guarantees, promises, assurances or false hopes. All I've ever asked is for one chance to stand on my own feet and give it my best shot. Succeed or fail, live or die, if I know I tried, then I can accept whatever happens."

I'm not a Quesada hater, and definitely not a BND hater, but I have to say: EPIC ART FAIL: MJ, page 5, last case!
Or to be precise, perspective fail.
