Huh... well okay. Nothing was right on that solicit. Milligain says he isn't writing that issue and Tony Daniel said he was only doing the cover
soooooo, we got Fabian writing, who is drawing?
this just also highlights, what an odd time to interview him if he isn't writing anything Batman related right now... I'd like to hear from other creators about current events, nothing personal.

What a boring interview...
I'll admit no new information was presented here, but I liked the interview just for the amount of love shown towards Milligan's "Dark Knight, Dark City" storyline which is one of my favorite Batman stories of all time. Anyone enjoying Morrison's run on Batman should pick it up (in back issues, don't think its ever been reprinted in trade). Fantastic story with some great art and some really creepy moments.
On second thought, let us not go to Camelot. It is a silly place.
It sounds like he was going to write it, but personal problems caused him to drop out, having Fabian do it after it was solicited, so that would explain that discrepency.
As for the actual interview--I was curious to see if there was any conversation or talking about how Dark Knight, Dark City and Barbatos is being used now, which would be cool, but otherwise...yeah, not a whole lot here.
Not a meaty interview, but I am looking forward to the 'Bat & Beast' GN & whatever his 'radical' storyline may be. I always felt like he was a really underrated writer overall.
Just have to say, the last issue of "Dark Knight, Dark City" was one of, if not the, very first Batman comic books I every owned. For a long time, it was the only Batman book I ever had. For those who know the the story, it's a little dark and creepy and as a 5 year old kid, this story freaked the hell out of me. Demon resurrections, secret cults, ritual sacrfice, Riddler's madness, the tests Batman endured, all of them were just plain disturbing. Only when I was in my late teen was I mature enough to read and appreciate this story.
"I am a man of peace."
"A man of peace who fights like ten tigers."
Indeed it hasn't, and that's a bloody shame. One of the best modern-era Riddler stories ever told, and a great Batman story period. Considering some of the stuff DC seem willing to reprint (Final Crisis: Ink? Really??), it's kind of baffling this one hasn't shown up yet, especially since it's so well-regarded. Maybe if the rumors turn out to be true and the Riddler really is in Nolan's third Batfilm...
I'm sure DC will announce a Peter Milligan trade within the next year, hopefully sooner. He just hinted at writing more Batman in this interview (I'm assuming after Morrisons done judging by the continuity comment) and with the Barbatos stuff in B&R, the strong likelihood of a Riddler announcement in Batman 3 and the overall interest in Batman right now there's enough coming together to finally make it happen.
