Marvel Comics has released an advance look at "Deadpool: Pulp" #1, written by Mike Benson and Adam Glass with art by Laurence Campbell and a cover by Jae Lee. The series debuts in stores on September 1.

Why not serious?
I'm hoping this is going to be a more serious look at the character. I missed several years of his history, and now I'm reading the strictly "played for laughs" version. I like most of what I'm reading, but I thought a different take on Deadpool would be really intriguing.
